N

owadays the street stands for a melting pot of individuals, cultures and eclectic styles, where fashion can find a real ‘incubator’ of ideas, giving shape to new trends and inspiring the most successful designers‘ collections, and it can also direct the taste of the Millennials’ generation. Starting from Scott Schuman’s early idea with The Sartorialist, up to the new-gen bloggers who stand out on social media through their selfies in the city, the fashion protagonists and the insiders of this world take on the role of real icons: models, celebrities, journalists, and creative people compose a diverse, much-admired tribe, where style contaminations and funky outfits are the rule, not the exception. The snapshot is the new medium adopted by the fashion elite to express personal messages, to embody an alternative style through their own look. All of these shots make up the new FASHION SNAP magazine, a collector of street-photos capturing the fashion entourage protagonists in the moments around each fashion show, to disclose all the ‘off-air’ amazing looks in the four most popular cities: New York, London, Milan, Paris seen through the photographers’ lenses. Photo after photo, the strongest trends of the season are pointed out, in a continuous dialogue between the urban setting and the style choices of these new contemporary influencers.

a strada, crocevia per eccellenza di individui, culture e stili eclettici, è oggi per la moda un vero e proprio ‘incubatore’ di idee, capace di dare forma a nuove tendenze e ispirare le collezioni dei designer più quotati, fino ad orientare il gusto dei Millennials. A partire dall’idea originaria di Scott Schuman con The Sartorialist, fino ai blogger di nuova generazione che grazie ai propri selfie metropolitani vanno affermandosi sui canali social, i protagonisti della moda e i personaggi che vi ruotano attorno assumono il ruolo di vere e proprie icone: modelle, celebrities, giornalisti e creativi compongono una tribù variegata e sempre più ammirata, dove la contaminazione degli stili e gli abbinamenti eccentrici sono la regola, non l’eccezione. Lo snapshot, ov vero lo scatto fotografico colto in modo spontaneo, quasi ‘rubato’, è il nuovo mezzo di comunicazione con cui il gotha della moda esprime messaggi e si fa portavoce di uno stile alternativo attraverso il proprio guardaroba. L’insieme di questi scatti compone la nuova testata FASHION SNAP, un contenitore di immagini prese dalla strada per immortalare i momenti che si consumano prima e dopo ogni sfilata nell’entourage degli addetti ai lavori, raccontando la moda ‘fuori onda’ delle quattro fashion week di New York, Londra, Milano e Parigi attraverso l’obiettivo dei fotografi presenti. Foto dopo foto, vengono evidenziati i trend più forti della stagione, in un dialogo costante tra il setting urbano e le scelte di stile dei nuovi influencer contemporanei.
