Quick & Easy Fixes For Common Lawn Problems
4.) Brown, dead patches, round in shape and surrounded by healthy grass - Likely cause: A dog has left territory markings. Give those spots extra water during its weekly watering. These spots can usually recover quickly. 5.) Large, dry patches - Patches are commonly caused by compacted soil due to heavy foot traffic and/or insufficient watering. If you have a sprinkler system, check to make sure there are no clogged or broken components. Spend time watching your sprinkling system in action. It could be that water simply isn’t reaching those areas and as a result, those areas are drying out. If heavy traffic is the cause, consider a gravel walkway. Also, annual aerating will improve water penetration in compacted soils. 6.) Spreading brown and dead patches of grass This is a difficult one to diagnose. This can be caused by disease and/or infestations by pests like grubs. Consult professionals at your local gardening center for diagnosis and repair advice for your particular grass type and region. Pressure washers are ideal for many outdoor projects but can be harmful if not used correctly. * Always grasp the spray gun firmly with both hands in case the gun kicks back. * High pressure spray can cut through skin. Never spray people or pets. * Never wear open-toed shoes, sandals or go barefoot while using the pressure washer. * Wear eye protection. Commercial mortgage rates are typically about 75 to 150 basis points (0.75% to 1.50%) higher than the prime, 30-year residential mortgage rate. For example, suppose you could refinance your personal residence on a 30-year basis at 4.0% today. If you are an “A” quality borrower, you could therefore expect conventional commercial mortgage rates from commercial banks to be between 4.75% and 5.5%. Commercial mortgage rates on SBA loans and USDA loans are typically 2% to 2.5% higher than the prime residential mortgage rate. Therefore, if the banks in town are quoting 4.0% on 30-year home loans, you will probably pay between 6.0% and 6.5% for an SBA loan or a USDA loan. The commercial mortgage rates of life companies and conduits because the loans are typically quite large ($3MM+) - are a little better than the commercial mortgage rates of the typical bank. You can expect to pay 35 to 75 basis points (0.35% to 0.75%) over the prime, 30-year residential mortgage rate.
