COLONNES DE BUREN

The Colonnes de Buren or Les Deux Plateaux are an art installation by Daniel Buren, in the Palais Royal in Paris.

6

The project was well received for some and highly controversial for others, although inspirational nevertheless. The design itself consists of striped white and black columns emerging from the floor

and it was supposed to inspire a reflexion on perception and projection of space. Some of the columns are also surrounded by pools of water, which of course created the opportunity for people to throw coins in.

VUE DE L’HORLOGE D’ORSAY

The Musée d'Órsay in Paris, is a well known for its art and exhibits but also for its clocks. The museum is installed on what used to be the Railway Station d'Orsay. The building had some oversized and crafted clocks, which were admired by many and those giant clocks stayed there, when the station turned into a museum. The Museum has more than one oversized and artistic clock, but is the one in the tower that stuns everyone with its views. Located on the fifth floor of the museum, that clock enchants all, both by the large dimension of it but also by its functionality as translucent window, which allows panoramic views.

The giant Clock provides a great view to the Seine river and many of Paris points of interest, such as the Louvre and The Tuileries Garden.

FONDATION LOUIS VUITTON

The Dodo Manège consists of a carousel where the rides are extinct and endangered animals, animals which are listed beside the carousel.

12

Further more than its creative design, the carousel also has a gorgeous decor, focused on a jungle thematic with panels with drawings of other wild animals on the garden.

RUE CRÉMIEUX À PARIS

A beautiful colourful street in the city of Paris, Rue Crémieux is all about how to enjoy the simplest things.

In no particular famous architecture style, this street is known to stand out for its artistic look. A full street where the house's facades are all painted in soft pastel colors, some even are have inspiring drawings on them.

But it's not only the color that stand out, it's the meaning the fact that every single house has a couple of flower vases on each side of the door, turning this colourful street into a beaitiful painting, which people from all over the world come and see.

BASKETBALL CORT PARISIEN

The Pigalle Basketball Court is an funky artistic space and considered to be an urban art intervention, located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.

The previous court had already been intervened by the Ill-Studio and Pigalle with primary colors, but it was renovated again, this time with bold colors and patterns.

The intervention was result of a partnership between sports brand Nike, fashion brand Pigalle and IllStudio, a creative studio.

22

The space is not very big, neither has a regular shape, so this intervention is what makes it much more different and attractive. The court now shows gradients of hues such as bold vibrant pink, orange, yellow, blue and purple. A place of colorful explosion and funky mood, located between two buildings and on a block with houses in neutral shades, so it stands out from any angle.

23

AU VIEUX PARIS D’ARCOLE

A very creatively designed café, Au Vieux Paris d' Arcole is located in Paris near Notre Dame.

30

However, although in premium location, the café is considered to be one of Paris well kept secrets, with a lot of history. Once, the café served as home to the Canon of a nearby Cathedral.

Yet, after many centuries, it was transformed into a wine bar and a hangout place for people to socialize and enjoy their day. Another thing that characterizes the cafÊ it’s the giant wisteria growing on its outer walls, which has

got a special permit from the Mayor of Paris to continute its growth. The rustic vintage look of the space, the giant wisteria and the colorful sets of furniture on its terrace, all of it makes Au Vieux Paris d' Arcole a unique place.

RESTAURANT PINK MAMA

Pink Mamma restaurant is one of the newest additions to Big Mamma Group network.

32

A restaurant composed of four floors, Pink Mamma's ambience is both cool and cosy, designed and decorated in vintage style, with antique lamps and metallic decor, vintage wood chairs and round tables. Truly, an inspiring place to eat in. A brilliant creation, Pink Mamma's each floor defines different spots. A Great Gatsby-inspired cocktail bar, on the first floor and an italian room for traditional cuisine, on the second floor. The third floor, consisting of a panoramic room with surrounding windows like a greenhouse, allowing for an incredible amount of natural light to come in and a gorgeous city view to enjoy. But the surprise was in the No Entry bar, Pink Mamma's hidden bar, below all the others and reserved for unique italian flavoured cocktails.
