FREESTYLE ROUND SEVEN

Hey...it’s Freestyle BMX. No boundaries or limitations. Show up, do your thing and enjoy. This is proof. Jared Weidower is one smooth criminal. Between him, Dominick Secatello and Nathan Glade this Expert Championship is shaping up to be the best ever.

Presented by

Milwaukee....what a historic town with plenty of places to ride, visit, sightsee and now....compete. Thanks to “The Jeffs” at 4Seasons S8 Park, Round #7 of the Hyper Bikes USA BMX Freestyle Series had a home. The locals were stoked we had planned a comp there and even managed to upgrade the course with their own time and money. Thankful doesn’t show our true appreciation.

Coming to this part of the country is something we had wanted since 2020. We knew it would be a good vibe and we weren’t wrong. I’m rambling so let’s allow the captions to do their job. Looking forward to an awesome 2023.

BELOW LEFT & RIGHT: Hyper Bikes Rider of the Day went to Isaiah Johnson and his homie Jared couldn’t have been happier for him. >>> Expert Men podium Weidower, Akerman and Johnson.

Why come solo when your mini-me can compete and equal your performance? The Family Everitt.

LEFT: 31-39 Mens Podium. Everitt, Darin and Murphy. >>> The MASTERS podium. These guys were entertaining to say the least. The Buzz, Seidell and Boston.

Free Agent Bikes Nathan Glade almost had the perfect run...He’s still in the hunt for the Expert Amateur Title.

ABOVE: We had no idea what to do with this photo...so we elected to run it. El Presidente’ Shane will most likely fire us all for this so it’s been great knowing you. >>> Casey Ervin being congratulated by USABMX President and man most likely to fire us for using the previous photo, Shane Fernandez.

Liam Peterson airing out the new step-up built by the locals.

ABOVE: VW supporter John Redman got the Peraza frame for the Mongoose Most Creative Rider Award. >>> Aaden Reed has been chipping away at tricks and with each comp, he becomes that much closer to the podium. This weekend proved his hard work with the Snafu Trick of the Day Award.

Ervin upside down.

ABOVE: Jake Rutkowitz looks good to reclaim his 11-14 Amateur title. Will Cernius get in his way?

BOTTOM ROW: The 11-14 Men podium. The Law offices of Rutkowitz, Cernius and McKenzie. >>> The Expert podium of tomorrow...or as classed today as the 15-30 Men: Akai Jenkins-Mehling, Colin White and Nate Mitchell II. These three are so good. >>> 9-10 Mens podium: Hyper’s Brody Ervin, Quickie Mart Tulsa’s Stryker Church and North Carolina’s Tyson Graham.

Quickie Mart is quickly becoming the team to be.... Steve Carr’s perfectly clicked turndowns certainly doesn’t hurt their image. A fourth in the highly competitive 31-39 Mens class. Isaiah Johnson was a welcomed addition to the Expert Class in Milwaukee. This guy single-handedly covered every aspect of Freestyle BMX. (photo 109)

BELOW LEFT to RIGHT: Introducing little Miss Caroline Prenger. Her first contest (complete with fresh lipstick and her shabby chic combo). >>> Who doesn’t love some Branch BBQ? We don’t know if this is the Sauce or the actual restaurant, but yes to both. Huck Kursinsky, ladies and gentlemen.

Andrew Darin with the over-clicked turndown. He’s good.
