ARCHITECTURE Architecturural Design: is a concept that focuses on components or elements of a structure. Work with space and elements to create a coherent and functional structure. The first step of the design phase is the schematic design. The schematic design is where the designe gathers information on the needs, style, and wants for the project. Then develop them to design concept.

"It is about creating buildings and spaces that inspire us, that help us do our jobs, that bring us together, and that become, at their best, works of art that we can move through and live in. And in the end, that is why architecture can be considered the most democratic of art forms." — 2011, President Barack Obama, Pritzker Architecture Prize Ceremony Speech

As Bangkok rapidly grows, groups of commercial buildings or ‘townhouses’ fills the city, they start to deteriorating, having been existing for generations. Our proposal aims to tackle this problem by preserving those traditional townhomes, compromising between the common people and architecture by using the ‘renovate and revalue’ strategy. We looked into the definition of what spaces the house defines as public; mainly including the kitchen and the living room. Hence, we choose to relocate these two spaces to the second floor where they will be turned into a joint living area of the whole housing group, by elevating the significant social area to the second floor, flooding damage will be decreased as on the first floor is only occupied with non-living spaces, for example garage or minor storage areas. With the most public space being the outdoor living room area: public, green and an open-space, residents and outsiders are allowed and encouraged to use this space, adding green lungs to city people, we also propose house members to grow their own vegetables in this area in relation to our late king’s teaching of living sufficiently.

Poster of ASA Competition

We aim to create a common public area which would encourage housemates, neighbours and even outsiders to socialise with each other more - thus, making these housing groups more valuable to not only the housemates but also the common public, which would result in the preventing these house from being demolished.

PACKAGING The idea was to redesign the traditional form of Thai herbal inhaler (Ya-Dom) into a modern round sharp with the concept of freshness and renew. Increase target group to use the product and also gather more attention by its appearance. To refreshes you once inhaled and helps with dizziness and lightheadedness and gives relaxation to the users.

Vernacular, Peranakan shophouse, Singapore

The proposed project learns from the uniqueness of Peranakan shophouse proposing a construction system that could be highly customizable by the dwellers, who could design their house from the layout, to the finishes, to the appliances. This strategy not only allows the individuality of every single dweller to emerge (like in the peranakan shophouses) but allows also “customized” and “incremental” investments. In response to the current regulations of Singapore, in which the street facades of Conservation Areas districts (geylang is a conservation area) are controlled in terms of colors and materials, the project proposes an “inversion” of the shophouse, shifting the most individually crafted and colorful spaces at the back/inside, creating also a more enclosed community space.

The project “Design Construction supported by Mitsubishi Electric. Building classrooms, a teacher room, a learning center or other side facilities to schools improve drastically the quality of space and the possibility of developing activities for the kids in regional areas of Thailand. The projects need to provide shelter and comfortable atmospheric conditions. Improve the performances of the interior space while creating a dynamic and textured envelope. Moreover, is a recurrent element in vernacular spaces, given its simplicity of production and the great improvement of the environmental condition of the space. It is a filter that can provide solar and water protection, allowing control and permeability to air. The building includes three classrooms, playgrounds, and seating areas provided around the building itself. Surrounded by big trees covering the space from direct solar radiation and provides shade and shadow.
