ll has already been said many times over about the significance of these two dates in December. Indeed many affirm that Christmas had become too commercial and often drifts away from its fundamental meaning. We sometimes felt so too, until we stopped to think about what the true meaning of this feast could be. Our thoughts soon evoked that idyllic image of three kings riding camels from the orient following their star in search of their very own monarch who had only just been born. They bore gifts. Gifts that a baby didn’t quite need at the time, but gifts whose worth was largely symbolic. Were they being too commercial? Our invitation to you this year is to pause and think of those special people who have accompanied you in times of need or bounty. Choose your gifts not only by their monetary value, but more so by their symbolic one. We have put together an array of ways for you to show gratitude and respect in ways that can be enjoyed by the receiver as well as his or her loved ones. Let us close this annual journey by highlighting the people who have helped us through, and whom we would certainly love to have alongside us as we start the new voyage in a few days’ time.
