ABOUT My name is Samantha Cobos and I am an interior designer with a focus on eco-friendly interior design. Over time I found myself spending an enormous amount of time searching for eco-friendly products that would not only coordinate together, but also include the right colors and patterns for each project. To streamline this process, I came up with the idea of creating my own patterns and color combinations. What could be better, if I needed a new pattern, I could just create it, and if I needed a new color combination, I could just pick new colors! Once I completed this work, I decided to offer my own line of custom furniture, fabrics, and rugs to the design community. Now It is easy to create beautiful, custom interiors, that are not only unique and perfectly coordinated but, most importantly, ECO-FRIENDLY!

ECO-UPHOLSTRY quality construction     

Frames are kiln dried Midwestern hardwoods. Frames are double doweled, glued, screwed, and cornered blocked. Seating is 8-way hand tied. High quality cushions with custom options. 4 way pattern match on fabric.

custom upholstery styles  Totally CUSTOM, any current style can be modified or a new style can be created from a photo or drawing.  We will research alternative materials which may be requested in the construction of our furniture.

Frame: Solid hardwood harvested locally and responsibly. Seating: 8-way hand tied made with recycled metal. Webbing: Recycled polyester and natural materials. Padding: 100% pure unbleached organic cotton. Seat Cushion Options:  Standard Soy (S): High quality 40% soy based foam core wrapped in down and feathers.  Spring & Down Soy (SDS): Standard soy cushion with inner springs wrapped in down and feathers. This upgrade adds more resilience to the cushion but it still remains very comfortable.  Latex (L): 100% natural latex core wrapped in down and feathers. Greener Alternative!  Spring & Down Latex (SDL): Latex cushion with inner springs wrapped in down and feathers. Back cushion filling: Down blended with soy fibers, other options available. Glue: Water based with no formaldehyde. Stain: Water base finishes. All scraps are cycled. Fabricated locally in Minnesota.

warranty  The frame, springs and quality of workmanship are guaranteed for the life of the original fabric.  The standard cushion cores are covered for a two-year period.

ECO-FABRICS pattern fabrics

 Printed in the USA on 100% organic natural cotton canvas which is also grown in the USA.  No chlorine or toxic chemicals are used.  Dyes & Pigments are eco-friendly and low impact.

solid polyester fabrics Pass the OEKO TEX Standard 100, which contain strict regulations including:  No allergy inducing dyestuff, pesticides, preservatives such as pentachlorophenol & tetrachlorophenol, chlorinated organic carriers, and heavy metals.  No Formaldehyde.  No tin-organic compounds.  Must have a skin-friendly pH.

 100% organic cotton grown in the USA.  No chlorine or toxic chemicals are used.

eco-leather

 Polyurethane is biodegradable.  Passes the VOC emissions test California Section 01350.  Naturally soft and flexible, polyurethane does not require the solvents used to soften PVC or leather.  Polyurethane faux leather offer a greener alternative to vinyl (PVC). PVC contains chloride and is not biodegradable and it leaches toxic additives in landfills and emits carcinogenic dioxin when incinerated.  Polyurethane faux leather offers a greener alternative to leather. Leather production is a chemical-laden process, including the use of heavy metals.  Our faux leather is manufactured in facilities that are conscientious of the green movement. Amongst other green initiatives, the manufacturer uses a distillation tower to capture and reuses solvents.  All pigments and chemicals used in the facilities comply with EPA guidance.

ECO-RUGS hand tufted  100% New Zealand Semi-Worsted Wool.  2.2 kg per square yard – Thicker than many rugs on the market.  Tufted by hand.

hand knotted  100% Tibetan Wool.  60, 80, and 100 per square inch.

eco-friendly attributes  Wool is a naturally renewable resource, which is harvested every other

year.  Wool biodegrades into nutrients, which improve soil fertility.  Natural properties of wool in a rug improves indoor air quality.  The dyes used are vegetable-based or 100% eco-friendly Swiss Ceiba.
