Spectacular Spaces Bowcliffe Hall Estate has some of the most inspiring spaces in Yorkshire, offering flexibility, creativity and endless choice – all finished with meticulous attention to detail and complete exclusivity.

Endless Possibilities Envisage an impossibly elegant walk down the aisle in our Bowcliffe Room, sip cocktails at the art deco bar and experience the most decadent wedding breakfast in our glorious Ballroom (complete with majestic chandelier). Picture guests milling amidst the glamorous mahogany panelled walls of our 1920’s inspired Private Members Club, or plan for wedding pictures spilling onto the lawns from our Southfacing Terrace. Take a moment of peace and tranquillity and enjoy an intimate blessing in our tiny, 12-seater Chapel before joining a party as memorable as the ‘I do’s’ in the soaring Blackburn Wing, a jaw-dropping copper and glass ‘tree house’ set high in the Estate’s ancient woodland.

Autumn/Winter The Bowcliffe Estate is magnificent 365 days a year and choosing to say ‘I do’ during the autumn and winter months is utterly enchanting.
Inside and out, the Estate is yours to do exactly as you wish. Our events team will create the perfect atmosphere – from romantic tea light lined mantelpieces and stairways, to fire pits, fairy lights, warming mulled wine and a menu to perfectly suit the season. Whether you’re looking for hidden, cosy corners or spectacular spaces –Bowcliffe Hall will be your perfect venue.
Autumn is a photographer’s dream, as the gardens and grounds at Bowcliffe Hall burst into a fiery array of russet browns, golds and crimson, whilst an abundance of berries decorate the trees. As winter arrives, so too does a blanket of glittering frost which covers the perfectly manicured lawns, or, if you’re really lucky, you might even enjoy a dusting of snow. Be warned, our winter sunsets will steal your heart.

Spring/Summer Bowcliffe during spring/summer is unequalled in its beauty. From traditional, to contemporary - rustic to bohemian, our stunning grounds, large south-facing Terrace, picturesque arrival experience and entirely unique spaces ensure your wedding day will be everything you ever imagined. Bringing the outside in, our elegant Bowcliffe Room opens out with French Doors to our award-winning gardens. Or, create your own unique experience and ceremony outside in our 28-acre grounds. The Blackburn Wing was built as a tribute to Robert Blackburn, a Yorkshireman and aviation pioneer, who introduced the first scheduled air service to Great Britain and lived at Bowcliffe Hall in the early 1900’s. Designed and built with meticulous attention to detail, this architectural masterpiece creates the impression of being suspended inside a wing, and offers a unique and unforgettable contemporary space with spectacular views and state of the art facilities.
A multi award winning copper and glass masterpiece, The Blackburn Wing is a triumph in design; a modern day tree house which is shaped like an aeroplane wing and nestled high in the Estate’s ancient woodland. If you’re looking for a spectacular space that will have guests talking about your wedding for years to come, not to mention a place to really party once the ceremony is over – then The Blackburn Wing is for you.

With its awe-inspiring chandelier, 23.5 carat gold gilded ceiling, exclusive hand blocked wallpaper, art deco bar, phenomenal sound system and hidden oak dance floor, your ceremony, wedding breakfast, first dance and reception are going to be the ones that guests will remember. With large period windows offering views of Bowcliffe’s beautiful formal gardens, the Ballroom is a simply spectacular option for a discerning couple.
Welcome to the space that will single handedly make all your wedding dreams come true. The opulent and glamorous Ballroom originally started life as the drawing room of Grade II listed Bowcliffe Hall, where important guests including Winston Churchill and aviation pioneer, Amy Johnson, were regularly entertained.

The Bowcliffe Room CEREMONY: 85 / DINNER: 60 / DRINKS RECEPTION: 80 Walk down the aisle in a room that is the epitome of Georgian elegance. The Bowcliffe Room is situated at the heart of Grade II listed Bowcliffe Hall, and retains many of its original period features. The natural daylight and high ceilings create a light and airy feel, with large sash windows offering views across the beautifully maintained, formal gardens. Double doors lead to a south-facing terrace and the gardens beyond.

Not just for motoring enthusiasts, you’ll fall in love with this magnificent, grandiose space, and guests will marvel over the original motoring art, artefacts and specially commissioned motoring memorabilia, ardently collected over a number of years.
The Private Members Club at Bowcliffe Hall is well famed for its phenomenal interior. Inspired by the glamorous 1920s and the golden age of motoring, the Private Members Club, with adjoining Briefing Room, is an exclusive members club located within Bowcliffe Hall and provides the most sumptuous setting for an intimate wedding ceremony, drinks reception or wedding breakfast.
It’s impossible to tire of this beautiful space, but if the weather is good you may wish to spill out onto the south-facing Terrace for canapés, drinks and perhaps a celebratory cigar.

The Chapel Hidden away in the grounds of the Estate is our tiny Chapel, which seats just 12 guests. Perfect for a moments peace and contemplation during your big day. Enjoy an intimate blessing, just the two of you, or invite your very closest family and friends to witness it with you.

The Grounds Wander the grounds at Bowcliffe Hall and you will quickly understand why this is one of Yorkshire’s most special wedding venues. 28 acres of manicured lawns, award-winning gardens and ancient woodland surround the Hall and Wing. Wander the peaceful Chapel Walk and admire the many flowerbeds that are maintained by our superb gardens team. Scope for stunning photographs is limitless, and as dusk falls, enjoy gazing out from The Blackburn Wing terrace into the inky silhouettes of our magnificent woodland. For larger weddings, we can happily accommodate marquee or Tipi weddings. We will provide everything you need to create your perfect space within the Estate grounds.

Food of Love Bowcliffe is the destination for couples intent on creating a truly inspiring wedding menu. Design a bespoke menu with help from our Executive Chef or talk to us about your preferences and let us guide you. From indulgent sharing boards, plant-based or seasonal dishes, Asian-inspired cuisine, vegetarian options or traditional food, we use only the best, locally sourced and home grown ingredients. This is anything but your average wedding fare.

We had had a menu tasting beforehand which was AMAZING so knew this part was well taken care of. It was planned so that there was food available for most parts of the day. Canapes at the Drink Reception, the most incredible food at the Wedding Breakfast, a selection of fudge made by the Chef before the evening do and a hog roast/grazing table for the night. Cost Per Guest At Bowcliffe we can offer a completely bespoke approach to creating your perfect day. Our events team will work with you to deliver a day that realises every exacting requirement you have. For a day tailored to your every whim, please talk to our team about costs. If you prefer to choose our wedding package, the cost per guest starts at £120 per person (60 people minimum). Wedding drinks packages are also available ranging from £30 to £50.50 per person.
