When Dan Averill opened his first real estate office in 1972—in a former Bigfork homesteader cabin that had also been the town’s onetime post office—he couldn’t have known that his one-man company would one day grow to include 18 offices with more than 240 sales associates, forming Montana’s number one brokerage in 2021 with over $2.2 billion in total sales volume.

As PureWest celebrates its 50th anniversary, we remain devoted to the company’s original aims of building relationships for life.
