THE WRITER’S RESIDENCE The house is designed for the client , Jhaverchand Meghani, a renowned poet of his time ; amidst the shruby forest, nearby the village of tragad, Ahmedabad. After reading his book ‘Saurashtra Ni Rasdhar’, one can get to know that he is a spiritual and a religious person who travelled across the villages of Saurashtra , to record the ‘ veer gatha’ of the heroes of the Kathiyawad region. The house has a central courtyard with a tulsi kyaro in between, and the central axis along the shorter direction is defined by a temple , the tulsi kyaro and the main temple in the site area. The central axis along the longer side is defined by the kitchen , the tulsi kyaro and the workspace of the poet. The house is welcoming with its beautiful verandahs. B C

RECREATIONAL CENTRE AND CAFE The site is located in the Nirma University, amidst a beautiful context of trees .The site is near the bus stand of the university, so it can be easily accesed at the time of boarding and unboarding the bus. The geometry is achieved using semicircular plans and arcs. The trees act as the central focus. The aim is to break linearity, so that a person can experience a flowing path around the trees. The cafe -cum auditorium has levels in it providing zones of interaction or stand up performances. The recreational centre has a semicircular wall providing a canvas to the visitors to scribble their imaginations and thoughts. The structure has the steel space frame following the geometry of arc. While the plinths and walls are made using rubble masonry.

CONCEPT DIAGRAMS
The main nodes of the site are taken as the two main temples the ‘ Siddhanath Mahadev ‘ temple and the ‘Siddhanath Ganpati Temple’. The units are arranged just like the lego blocks shapes, forming L , C and T layouts. The temple areas can be the open gathering areas - gardens , for children to play.

The site elevation from the primary road is marked by the colourful G+3, G+4, G+5 housing apartments, with different parapet designs. This elevation is formed by cluster 1 units.. ARCHITECTURE COLLEGE- INSTITUTE DESIGN
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT COLLAGE The program development collage basically looks upon the concept that the college has various zones like formal, thinking and creative zones, and the resources and workshop zones. The central core is the epitome of creativity i.e the exhibitions and the art court . The periphery is formed by a combination of formal spaces , studios, and workshops. The studios and the workshops are near the edge promoting open-ness and other students of different courses to interact. The site is the cricket ground of the University with the race track and the courts promoting sports and physical fitness amongst the students. It is surrounded by a beautiful context of trees, specially in the north.
14.
SITE PLAN
Since the institute is underground it forms an integral part of the ground . The institute has terraces on different levels to promote interactions, open air discussions. Also at the the time of the sports events ,the terraces can be the best place to cheer for the athletes. Since the institute uses the ground during navratri, the terraces can again be the best place to interact. The organistaion is around a hierarchy of courtyards - the space to breathe out, interact, make installations, document works etc. The activities revolve around the courtyard which are connected with the corridors. The terraces on basement 1 plan provide a way for lighting and ventilation for the spaces below the ground. The structural system is of concrete frame and the structural grid is of 7.5 metres.

The RSP- 2018 and RSP-2019 was all about documenting the century old heritage of Ahmedabad , i.e the pol houses of Ahmedabad. The houses documented are located in the Khadia region of the old city of Ahmedabad. The houses were documented by measure drawing , sketches and photographs. The pol houses are basically row houses, located along a strong network of streets, galis, chowks and nukkads . The architecture of the pol houses is defined by wooden joists, wooden elements, steep wooden staircase , wooden carvings , wooden doors and windows, courtyards etc.
