Travel season health tips Traveling, especially for business, can feel like leaving reality behind. That often includes healthy eating and exercise habits. We have all returned from a work trip feeling heavy and tired; however, this does not have to be the norm. Below are a few adjustments to your travel routine that can keep you feeling healthy and light.

Bring a water bottle. Every article you read about traveling will emphasize the importance of staying hydrated. However, for most of us, this is the first thing to go out the window. Set a daily water goal and bring your favorite water bottle along for the ride. Having this handy will help you stay hydrated, save money, and even feel good about helping Mother Earth.

Eat Yogurt. Yogurt, especially Greek yogurt, packs a powerful health punch, supplying various goodies, including protein and calcium. In addition, it’s an excellent source of probiotics. These can help keep your digestive system on track in addition to boosting your immune system.

Get the Good Coffee. Coffee at most hotels is mediocre at best. Use this as an incentive to get moving early and walk or jog to a coffee shop and grab a good Cup o’ Joe. Natural light first thing in the morning has been shown to boost the immune system, increase energy, and the extra steps will give you an excuse to explore the area.
