Malaysia Vision Valley to complement Klang Valley development: Najib KUALA LUMPUR, May 21 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Vision Valley, to be built under the Eleventh Malaysia Plan (11MP), will become another new integrated development encompassing several strategic clusters to complement the developments in the Klang Valley, particularly in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak during his speech when tabling the 11MP in the Dewan Rakyat today said Malaysia Vision Valley located in western Negeri Sembilan would cover Nilai, Seremban and Port Dickson on a proposed area spanning 108,000 hectares. Najib said from the aspect of regional economic development, from 2011 to 2014, five corridors, namely Iskandar Malaysia, Sabah Development Corridor, East Coast Economic Region, Northern Corridor Economic Region and Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy had been created. All these corridors have successfully attracted committed investments of RM307 billion, out of which 57 per cent or RM175 billion are investments. "The total investments had generated more than 427,000 job opportunities," said Najib who is also Finance Minister. "Towards this end, for 11MP, the government targets some RM236 billion in investments and create another 470,000 jobs at the five regional corridors," he said.
