Introduction My Client, Sinarmas World Academy (SWA) is in need of a new logo for their Design Cycle and their IB Learner Profile. The logo will represent their style and the way that the client wants the logo to be like. I will research across the internet and study one of the most know logo’s throughout the whole world so that I can get an idea of what type of logo they would want and what way they want me to represent it, and this would help me what to avoid on while I’m in the process of planning and designing their logo.

Client Interview What type of logo do you want for the IB Learner Profile and the Design Cycle? (Pictorial? Word Mark? Emblem?)
I want a pictorial one with a text inside so people can understand it easily. What kind of colours do you mainly want in the logo? Please just pick up to three colours.
Mainly I like black and white but also add a splash of colours. Do you want anything specific?
Add a speech bubble with a question mark to make it more understandable.

AOI (Area of Interaction) This project is connected to two AOI which is Human Ingenuity and Community and Service. Since I’m helping out the community of the school and participated into helping them, and that this is connected to Human Ingenuity because that I will have to put my creativity into this project, and I will use my interview in what they want and put my creativity into this. Also I’ll be showing my own skills to what I would have to work with, which is using Adobe Illustrator.

Case Study Summary After looking at the most popular and known logo’s to people around the world is that the same thing that they all have in common is simplicity. This is because simple logo’s are easier to remember unlike harder logo’s that you’ll tend to forget easily in just 5 seconds. All these logo’s also just pick the proper amount of simple colour that adds more of simplicity into the logo and that they didn’t make it into something complicated like an art piece or something.

Design Brief Now I will design a logo that’s simple and straight foreword with simple colours that represents the two logo’s that I’m going to make for Sinarmas World Academy. I’m sure that the client wouldn’t want to have an over-done logo that they can’t even understand yet. So I’ll be focusing into simplicity while working on the designs of the logo.
