The Second Bus is the alias of Thai artist Top Tarasin, an analog illustrator of record covers and posters whose technique of line and point creates stark tapestries of nature and myth. From childhood, Top has been obsessed with visual art and visual narrative. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, NZ in 2003. In 2006, he won the Fat Awards #4 BEST PACKAGING OF THE YEAR for "Broken Hearts and Paper Cuts" (The Eastbound Downers). The artist has been working as a freelance illustrator for bands and music events since then in conjunction with his full-time career as a film director and art director. Top predominantly works in pen + ink and watercolor. He currently resides in London, UK. Here is a selection of some of his work.
