Are Machines Capable of Thought?

Philpott then went on to say, "we've had more time with The Turing Test to work on these things, though. It's been about a year of full-on development and six months of pre-production where we were creating puzzles and defining this curve."
The Turing Test is set to be available for Xbox One and PC in the month of August, 2016. Philpott has stated that they believe that they have worked on the game to the point where players can simply get the game started and intuitively gain a feel for the game. So tutorial sessions of any kind are not necessary for this game. He also pointed out that some new facet of the game is revealed at every new stage of the game. The Turing Test, much like Talos Principle, requires the player to figure out how to navigate through the myriad of barriers, obstacles, and hindrances. All of this has to be done with what appears to be an insufficient resource supply. Another amazing thing about this game is the storyline. The narrative is based on Europa, were a base has been set up. The story is one that follows the events in Pneuma. The character you play as is Ava Turing. She works for the International Space Agency as an engineer. With her, is a small team of people. Among the crew with Ava is Tom. Tom is an Artificially Intelligent being that works to convince you to explore the environment a lot more.
The narrative of the game can be described as linear. According to Philpott, the themes in the game are morally ambiguous, as opposed to being fixed and definite. He also
stated that the character of the game is able to freely interact with the environment and objects in the environment. In this respect, it is akin to the likes of Gone Home.
