Jeff Schwartz

Head Coach

Paul VI Boys Varsity Lacrosse

PVI Athletics is delighted to welcome Coach Jeff Schwartz back to our community as the Boys Head Lacrosse Coach! Coach Schwartz served as an offensive and defensive volunteer assistant at PVI under former Panther coach, Bob Waters. Coach Schwartz helped lead the Panthers to a 2018 VISSA championship. Coach Schwartz brings 10+ years of experience coaching at all levels of lacrosse to Paul VI. Coach Schwartz notes, “I could not be more grateful to be a part of the PVI Panther family. I’m excited to enable a brand of lacrosse of which the community can be proud. I can’t wait to get to work.”

Coach Schwartz started his playing career as a 3-sport athlete at Tabor Academy in Marion, MA graduating in 2007. He went on to play at the University of Lynchburg as a Face-Off Specialist earning two All ODAC honors. His leadership skills were honed as a 2-time captain prior to graduating in 2012. Coach Schwartz stayed at Lynchburg, beginning his coaching career as a Graduate Assistant Coach helping lead the Hornets to an Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship game berth and a trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals.

After leaving Lynchburg, Coach Schwartz moved to Israel to serve as the Head Coach of Israel’s Men’s National team. He served in this role for more than a year and led the Blue and White to a silver medal in the European Championships in 2016. Coach Schwartz remained on Israel’s coaching staff as a defensive assistant and defensive coordinator through the 2018 and 2023 World Championships. Coach Schwartz continues to work with Team Israel and remains the defensive coordinator on staff.

Coach Schwartz’s success and drive isn’t limited to the lacrosse field. In addition to being an effective Area VP of North American Sales for Gartner, Inc., Coach Schwartz is completing a Master’s degree in Applied Sport Psychology, combining his experience on the field with a background in mental strength training. Coach has deeply rooted connections to collegiate coaches and experience on both sides of the recruiting process.

When Coach Schwartz has some free time, he enjoys participating in CrossFit and triathlons (not at the same time) and hanging out with his wife Amanda and adorable 2-year-old son, Ethan.
