South Warwickshire and North Cotswolds Now Magazine has teamed up with Adventure Sports to offer lucky readers the chance to win an action-packed axethrowing and archery session for two people.
The popular outdoor activity centre is the only place in Warwickshire where you’re invited to throw axes – for fun!
Participants are introduced first to the basic techniques, throwing a small 10-inch metal axe called an Angel from a distance of three metres to a roundel target, before progressing to the larger Tomahawk axes from a longer distance of six metres. The hour-long session ends in a scored competition.
Then it’s off to the archery field where an experienced instructor will teach participants how to hold a bow, aim and shoot at an official competition-size archery target. A series of practice arrows will allow the basics to be mastered before the session moves on to a competition round. wThese are among more than 50 exhilarating activities on offer at Adventure Sports which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary in Wedgnock Lane, Warwick.
Other activities include Mixed Activity events, Clay Shooting (including 20, 35 and 50 Shot Experiences), Quad Bike Trekking, Hovercraft, 4x4 Off-Road Driving, Rally Karts, Powerturn Karts, Reverse Steer Jeeps, Archery, Segways, Digger Driving, Treasure Hunts, Junior and Adult Paintball, Pistol and Rifle Target Gallery, as well as a vast selection of Team Building Activities.
Owner Steve Richardson said: “The name of our company Adventure Sports, tells you everything you need to know. We live and breathe adventure and we aim to give the best experience. We all love our jobs and offer amazing activities that leave you breathless and give you a sense of accomplishment that will last a lifetime.”
