Began over 110 years ago, as a small independent family run business in County Durham. Almost five generations later, we’ve fine-tuned our expertise, creating a fresh, innovative brand, that offers premium furniture, at an affordable price. In 2016, we made room for Kindred! any unforeseen complications, or, to simply know what to expect in all stages of your bedroom installation, we’ve provided a few steps to help guide you through the process.

REMOVE YOUR EXISTING FURNITURE Whether it’s ﬁtted or freestanding, we need to ensure that the space is clear and ready for your new furniture. We offer a removal service if required, simply speak with your local specialist to include this within your quotation.

REPOSITION ELECTRICS Where is your furniture going to go, will you lose a socket or switch? Is it possible to move them? It’s wise to think about repositioning electrical points when designing your furniture. However, if it can’t be moved, speak with your local specialist to see if it’s possible to leave it in its current position. *This is only applicable to sockets and not switches Alternatively, if you want to include lighting within your wardrobe design, please speak with your local specialist about your options.

PREPARE THE FLOOR It is strongly recommended that the furniture be installed with a direct contact to the room’s ﬂoor. This is to avoid any possible movement due to furniture being installed on carpets.

DECORATE Please ensure that any plastering, painting and decorating (including ceilings) has been carried out before your furniture is due to be ﬁtted. However, we’d advise keeping a little paint to touch up after installation

SURVEY Prior to installation, your specialist retailer will arrange a home survey to check your designs will work. We would recommend that you have considered the four points above before the visit, so at this point the installer can make any further considerations before your ﬁnal installation is booked.

INSTALLATION Please ensure that there is someone at home to let the installer into the property and to sign for the completed work before the installer leaves. Our installation service includes a survey, two man delivery service to room of choice, ﬁtting and clearance of rubbish.

WASTE COLLECTION All waste will be removed following the installation, and your room will be left clean, tidy and ready to enjoy.

RELAX Sit back, relax and enjoy your newly ﬁtted furniture.
