QianHai Central Business District Development a new cooperate bound area locates at ShenZhen. As part of the development, this 54000~sqm retail mall maintains a solemn business rectangular facade edge on the outside while having a curvy and open up valley on the inside that makes up the interesting contrasting space.

The central open space as a main spine connects both horizontally between sites and vertically to the city green belt. The curvy spine undulates to link up node points for gathering and programs. Tower sits on the podium are three ofďŹ ce towers, a hotel and a service apartment. The staggering tower location allows visual connection from outside the site to the inside. The central courtyard with the ETFE canopy an outdoor focal point serves as a stadium for future performances and activities.

Arise with Chengdu rapid development, this city outskirt building complex is designed as a modern and “hip� environment as an assets that attracts the young family to this area. This project with 36000~sqm contains six towers and a 84000~sqm podium. On the far west are the hotel and service apartment. Sitting on the podium are two office towers and two residential buildings (centre). The podium has an underground connection to Metro station and 6 stories aboveground retail. The idea of a modern living style expression is revealed through the plane sharp angle and slanted plan through complex form and facade.

The hotel located on the left side is a W hotel that endorses the trendy and high end image. The original fan shape design maximizes view from each room. The pixelating facade with shades of blue cascaded from top to bottom creates a sense of lightness that defies gravity. The slant design also echo with the asymmetrical slant plane of the whole complex while pixilation pattern brings out this unique trendy character.

ShenZhen Nanshan Raffle City is a mixed use complex with three different phases surrounding a designated city park. Phase one is solely three residential towers with club house. Phase two includes 60000~ sqm shopping mall, a service apartment and an office tower. Phase three also has a service apartment and a residential tower with the podium sits below. The three phases are connected through under level. This building complex also has a link bridge with undulating roof that reaches out to surrounding site, connecting between three different plots. The building facade takes on a ribbon band idea that wrap around the building to render a dynamic city image while from afar the coherence white bands also accents the quiet and remote city park.

Inspiration “Earliest known ancient records that carried the name of Shenzhen date from 1410 during the Ming Dynasty.
