In 2020 and 2021 the Commemoration Day service were held online due to the global pandemic.

GARDEN PARTY

This is a tradition that dates back to two very successful occasions, the Grand Fete (held on 19 September 1925) and the Maypole Fair (held on 7 May 1938). Since 1956, a Garden Party has been held every year, except 1958 when Miss Knox, the Principal, was overseas and 2020 due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Traditionally proceeds were directed to capital works or for specific work. In more recent years, proceeds have been given to selected charities.

JACARANDA DAY

The Jacaranda tree planted to commemorate the visit of HRH, the Duchess of Gloucester became the focus of an idea initiated by Science teacher, Mrs Raj Ram, whereby the whole College gathers by the tree in Spring, when it is in full bloom, to distribute gifts and money to charities.

JERSEY DAY

A day of remembrance for our three Pymble Boarders, Alanda Clark, Year 11, Jane Gay, Year 9 and Prudence Papworth, Year 8 – who lost their lives when travelling home for the June long weekend in 1993. Each year, our Boarders, Secondary School girls and staff wear jerseys to honour their legacy and help raise funds for a Boarding School Scholarship, which is named in their honour.
