Master Plan – Project Highlights
INTRODUCING... WYLIE THE CRANE!
Wylie the lu ng crane is coming to Pymble! A lu ng crane is one where the jib is raised when it’s not in use. The concrete base has been poured and Wylie will be installed during the school holidays.
How did Wylie get her name?
Junior School ran a House competition to raise spirit, pride and a sense of camaraderie. We explored how the lu ng crane was showing kindness to humans by helping them lift heavy objects then asked the girls to create a postcard that included an explanation of how kindness links to our College values with a drawing on the back. Amy in Year 6 from Wylie was the winner out of hundreds of submissions.
Wylie House is named after Mina Wylie, who was a swimming teacher at the College for 42 years. She was one of the first two female swimmers to represent Australia in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm where she won silver.
GREY HOUSE PRECINCT
Piling works and excavation are ongoing for Grey House Precinct. There are lots of noisy works scheduled to be completed during the school holidays to minimise disruption for sta and students during the school term.
The safety of our students, sta and community is paramount as we execute our plans. If at any time you have any concerns, you can report them directly to the College via our College safety reporting tool.
LOWER COLONNADEUPPER SCHOOL HUB
Lower Colonnade (Upper School Hub) is making steady progress with bulk excavation works for the new locker room due to be completed soon. The internal fit out including flooring, joinery, suspended ceiling installation has commenced. This space is due for completion in Term 3.
