to see their creativity flourish. Most excitingly, during the scene transitions, some of the music you hear was composed by one of our very talented cast members. I’d like to acknowledge Emily Chiang, Zoe Bloom, Isabelle Port, Laranya Nanthakumaran, Charlotte Ford, Zarina Nurlanov, Madeleine Watson and Ruhani Surana for their phenomenal contributions. expertise have been so valued by not only myself, but
When invited to direct this production, I was buzzing with excitement. I have always loved the energy that this particular age group brings, and knew I had to pick a play that mirrored their vitality and passion. Peter Pan was an obvious choice. An energetic and playful show, Peter Pan explores the vivacity and excitement of childhood. Underlying this jolly and exciting tale of adventure, however, are stories of those who have been forced to grow up too early, or those who refuse to grow up at all. It is this complexity that prompts reflection on our memories of childhood, and subsequently our experiences of growing up, all of which make the story of Peter Pan so interesting and relatable to a wide audience.
also the students, and we thank you for your time and generosity. I must also recognise our Theatre Manager, Ms Tonya Grelis. Words cannot express how grateful I am for your professionalism, guidance and mentorship. The cast and crew would like to extend their gratitude to Dr Kate Hadwen, Principal, Mrs Jenny O’Donnell, Head of Middle School and Mr Tom Riley, Head of Upper School, for their support of the Co-Curricular Drama Program for Years 7 to 9. I’d also like to thank Alysha Marsden and the rest of the CCSA team for their assistance in providing timely communication to all parents, cast and crew. Additionally, the Theatre Crew consisting of Tim Colvin and Zoë Reynolds, our Stage Manager, Stephanie Volos,
