TONGARIRO ALPINE CROSSING This 19 kilometre trek is one of New Zealand’s best day walks! The track leads up to the saddle between Mount Ngauruhoe and Mount Tongariro and then diverts over Mount Tongariro. The landscape is peppered with different coloured and shaped craters, scoured volcanic rocks, mountain springs and brightly coloured emerald lakes. Group sizes are small and the guides are well informed and are able to provide an enjoyable experience.
