Different type of analyses may be conducted on the general testing outputs and related information to provide different estimations about software testing, and to drive followup activities.

This activity consists of such stages: Reliability analysis for usagebased testing, which can be used to assess current product reliability and as input to define if the preset reliability purpose has been reached. In the case if it is so, product release or test termination decisions can be made. In the case if not, future reliability, time and resources required to achieve the reliability purpose can be evaluated. Coverage analysis for coveragebased testing, which can be used as a surrogate for reliability and used as the stopping criterion or as input to different decisions related to testing management. General software bug analysis, which can be used to check bug dispensation and to detect areas with a lot of problems for focused remedial actions. In adjunct, several productinternal dimensions, such as size and complication of individual elements, and other dimensions may be used together with bug data as well to identify areas with a lot of problems for focused quality perfection.
