Objective: To choose a model to test the new custom-built project. Introduction: a big project, it is hard to test it by forces of developers. Customer is intelligent and willing to pay for quality. The only question is whether to open for this purpose separate department or make a test on the shoulders of the outsourcing company.
It is logical to try to figure out the cost estimate. I see myself costing something like this: There are N man-hours of testing (planning, resource management is include). There are M hours, which can be spent on software testing, according to the plans of development (time is understood and accepted by developers and customers). M / N = T number of testers (including the managers). There are two choice: hire a T testers (to outsource) and hire T your own testers (your department). Overhead costs in both cases:
For your own department: • • • • •
Salary expenses (regular salary, employer tax, vacation and seek leaves, insurance) IT and infrastructure expenses (computer, Internet, network support, licenses for software, email, help desk, phone) Administration and management expenses (management, accounting, hiring, training) Employee advantages (medical, dental and life insurance) Office expenses (office space, parking, common areas)
For hired testing: • • • •
It is much profitable to outsource testing than to have your own QA department Unaffected, independent results Team size can be increased based on customer’s requirement Experienced QA professionals

So we can see that using independent QA company services is more effectual and economic than opening QA locally. Outsourcing software testing services can enable your organization to concentrate on your main business activities while hired software testing experts manipulate your software testing work.
