Usability testing is an experimental method, based on interviewing of users according to a predefined scenario, and aims to clarify how users employ the product.
Participants of the test, also called the respondents, selected and hired through a specialized questionnaire drawn up so as to weed out those people who are not part of the target audience of the product. During each interview the moderator (facilitator) asked respondents to perform tasks that can be solved with the help of the product being tested. The meaning of usability testing is to observe those of the difficulties encountered by users working with the product. The purpose of testing is to improve the interface so that the target audience product most effectively with the final version of the product. Watching how people interact with the product, you can find ways to improve the design. But to observe this dispassionately is quite difficult. The man would more likely help those in need rather than seeing their failures. Effective moderator must be able to hold the respondent to focus on tasks, not helping him at the same time to solve these problems. In particular, therefore, the moderator and the respondent should be located in different rooms, communicating with each other through various communication devices. These premises are usually separated by one-way mirror that allows moderator and other observers to see how the respondent works.
