Annu was a short little girl. She was also a chubby little girl.

2

In fact, she was the shortest, chubbiest, and littlest girl in her class.

3

All the other children in her class would tease her because of how short and chubby and little she was.

4

“Stop making fun of me!” she shouted angrily. But they wouldn’t stop teasing her. She decided to not play with them anymore.

5

She sat in the corner and looked at the others enjoying themselves.

6

She thought to herself, “I wish I had someone to play with.”

7

Right then, she heard a sound and looked around.

8

Behind the rocks and under the tree, she found someone crying.

“Hello. Are you okay? Why are you crying?” she said.

9

It was a boy named Chintu.

10

He was a big tall boy. He was also a thin tall boy.

In fact, he was the biggest, thinnest and tallest boy in his class. 11

“All the children in my class tease me because of how big and thin and tall I am, he cried.

12

“Well, don’t cry,” said Annu, “they tease me too.”

13

“They say that I’m as tall as a tree,” said Chintu.

14

“They say that I’m as small as a mouse,” said Annu.

“They say that I’m as thin as a snake,” said Chintu.

“They say that I’m as fat as a cow,” said Annu.

15

Annu and Chintu started laughing. “We are both so different, they said.

16

And so, Annu and Chintu spent their time playing together, laughing together, smiling together and having fun. 17

The other kids would think, “Wow. They really seem to be enjoying themselves.”

18

Annu and Chintu became the best of friends. 19
