TAYLA MUNCE-POINTON All kinds of graphic and digital design have been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. At school, I loved working with lettering and creating bubble letter fonts, sometimes I would handwrite the smallest lettering I possibly could in exams and papers, just to give my teacher a hard time reading it. These days my passion lies with web design, branding and creating designs that showcase my vibrant personality.

KASIA BARNETT Ever since I could hold a pen, glue stick, and successfully use scissors, I crafted my way through projects of all kinds. I still bring detail and complexity into my work, have a strong focus on artistic aesthetics, and design holistically. My personal experience with Sensory Processing Disorder has fuelled my interest in sensory-based user experience design, which I aspire to continue exploring in the future. kasiabarnett.com

MATTHEW GREEN As a kid, I loved spending hours tinkering in the back shed, pulling apart motors and electronic devices just to see how they worked, before putting them back together. As personal computers were introduced to the world, my interests moved towards graphic design, as I finally had somewhere to create the large geometric patterns I was always envisioning in my mind. BENNY LAI I have always been the curious type. I had more interest in how people interacted with certain objects than some innocuous toy. I made most of my toys when I was a child not because my parents couldn’t afford it, but because I loved the problem-solving aspect and the satisfaction of completing a project and having something that you made, work. If it was unsuccessful, it was back to trying a different approach, until it was executed to the standard I desired. That same attitude influences my work ethic today; it’s my biggest aspiration to never stop being curious. bennychlai.com

CREATIVE CONCEPTS | GRAPHIC DESIGN PHOTOGRAPHY | ILLUSTRATION IMAGE RETOUCHING | PRINT & WEB SOCIAL MEDIA | BRANDING Liveworm Gold Coast is staffed with a collection of skilled multidisciplinary design students, guided by a highly experienced team of industry professionals. The studio is also a creative incubator for student industry concepts, supporting the local business and cultural community. The studio opened its doors in 2008 after being converted from a grungy fine art and sculpture workshop into a creative studio and incubator space — under the wing of the 130 year old Queensland College of Art.
Liveworm Gold Coast designers are the future experts of their field. They know what’s current, enjoy predicting future trends and utilising classic design strategies. In the midst of a new studio image and direction— Liveworm Gold Coast is working towards a stronger position within the evolving creative Gold Coast culture. The team of students and staff embrace the changes that are occurring locally and globally and enjoy creating design outcomes that reflect this unique approach.

Wagyu is a breed of cow that is predisposed to producing high-quality beef with intense “marbling, where more fat forms in the meat to create a juicy, tasty, highly sought after meat. Yakiniku, where you cook your own meat at the table is the preferred way to enjoy Wagyu in Japan - this is something else that we want our customers to enjoy. From a dinner for 2 to a night out with family and friends, Yakiniku can be enjoyed on any occasion!
