Hello... We are delighted to welcome you to the Musical Theatre 2015 season presented by the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. The Queensland Conservatorium presents more than 250 events throughout the year across our primary campus in Brisbane’s cultural heart at South Bank, at the Burke Street Studios in Woolloongabba and at our Gold Coast campus. Musical Theatre at the Queensland Conservatorium has established a reputation as a provider of quality productions that are coupled with high level learning outcomes for our students. As we embark on a new year, the Musical Theatre Department welcomes you with enthusiasm and excitement to some of the most spectacular performances produced by its students. As you browse through this year’s season book, we hope you’ll be inspired by a number of events across our students’ jam-packed program. The events include staged productions of Working, Blood Brothers and A Chorus Line; workshop productions of The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas, Con2TheCabaret and Rent; singing concerts (in-house at our theatre in Woolloongabba, Brisbane

City Hall and St John’s Cathedral), an evening of Song and Dance, Song and Scene, Acting scenes, a Winter Audition Workshop and two interstate tours. 2015 also sees us sharing the wonderful work from students on the new Musical Theatre Foundation Course. At the end of the year we will farewell our 3rd year students as they present their final showcase Our Turn. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to introduce these talented young professionals interstate (in Melbourne and Sydney) as well as at home in Brisbane. If you require further information about the productions, audition workshop, the students or the course, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to welcoming you to our performances and events throughout the year, and to sharing our passion for Musical Theatre. Professor Scott Harrison Director – Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University Paul Sabey Head of Musical Theatre – Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University
