Sixteen “Scappalachian” A-frame cabins—so named for their marriage of minimalist Scandinavian design with the warmth of Appala- chian craftsmanship—offer a quaint home base before and after a day of exploration. Standard cabins feature a one-room studio floor plan with balconies overlooking the greenway and riverside, while deluxe cabins tucked deeper into Wrong Way’s property offer sweeter seclusion with private back decks leading to a lush wooded meadow.

Guests can fuel up each morning with coffee and fresh baked goods at The River Lodge's Canteen or dine between exhilarating climbs and leisurely strolls through downtown Asheville. But don't let its humble moniker fool you; the Canteen’s cuisine is provided by Chef Ashley Capps and partner Travis Schulz.
