AGES 0-4 NURSERY

You’ll find the nursery space is warm, friendly, cosy and inviting. That’s really important for our children. There are different areas for fun, sleep and lunch –each immaculately decorated, clean, safe and inspiring. Some parents describe it as home from home, and that makes us feel really proud.

Your child can begin with us at Taunton School Nursery aged six months, at any point during the year. We recognise that each stage and age of development is unique and needs different activities and routines. Our four excellent nursery rooms are split into the following year groups:

Nursery One: for babies aged six months to one year old

Nursery Two: for toddlers aged one to two years old

Nursery Three: for children aged two to three years old

Nursery Four: for Pre-School children aged three to four years old

We match age and stage, as well as development needs, so there is flexibility when moving from Nursery One to Nursery Two.

We also understand how important it is that we can give your child the attention that they need at each stage. With this in mind, our staff to child ratios are: Under 2 (1:3), age 2-2.5 (1:4), age 2.5-3 (1.6), age 3-4 (1:8).

Nursery starts at 8am (or 7.30am if pre-booked) and finishes at 3.30pm, followed by our fully supervised after school Hobbies and Activity Club which begins at 3.45pm and finishes at 5.45pm.

Our facilities are outstanding and we’re surrounded by green fields and nature areas with plenty of open and specially designed activity play areas at our disposal.
