Friday th

Morning Tour of the island of Gozo for all participants (Group 1)

All participants will be taken around the island where they will have the opportunity to get to know better what Gozo has to offer during their stay. The tour will be followed by lunch.

Evening Opening Ceremony of the Wojtyla Choir Festival 2013

Official opening ceremony of the Festival in the village of Zebbug (Gozo), with the participation of all participating choirs, and under the patronage of the Hon. Minister for Gozo.

Saturday th Morning

Tour of the island of Gozo for all participants (Group 2)

All participants will be taken around the island where they will have the opportunity to get to know better what Gozo has to offer during their stay. The tour will be followed by lunch.

Noon Lunch-Time Concerts

Choirs will take part in lunch-time concerts in different parts around the city of Victoria (Gozo), providing an enriching, immersive experience through the art of traditional sacred music from their home countires. Services will be followed by lunch.

Afternoon Music Workshop

Choir members will take part in a short music workshop led by Mro. Dr John Galea D.Mus.(Pavia),B.Mus.(Hons)(Dunelm),F.T.C.L.,L.R.S.M.,A.T.C.L. Head of the Department of Music Studies at the University of Malta.

Evening Ecumenical Service

As part of its long-standing commitment towards promoting interfaith dialogue, the JP2 Foundation shall be hosting all choir members in an Ecumenical Service, led by H.E. the Bishop of Gozo.

Sunday th Morning Mass Animation

All Choirs will animate the morning mass at the National Shrine dedicated to Our Lady of “Ta’ Pinu”. The mass will be live broadcast on national TV station TVM.

Noon Mass Animation around Gozo

Choirs will animate different 11 am/ 12 pm masses in several Parish Churches around Gozo. All services will be followed by lunch.

Evening Closing Ceremnony

The 2013 edition of the “Wojtyla Choir Festival” will come to a close in a spectacular closing ceremony in the village of Ghajnsielem (Gozo), under the patronage of the Hon. Minister for Gozo.
