Huston 264 Sire: EYES ON THE MONEY Dam: Full Flush x Comm. Angus #4078 DOB: April 11, 2008 This bull could very well change the way we all look at the club calf business. How many, if any, sires have come along that we can mention club calf prospects and replacement females in the same breath. I’ve never seen a creature any sounder or softer than this soon to be SUPERSTAR. There is a reason he’s lot #1! Don’t miss the boat on this one guys, I’m warnin’ ya!

* Selling full possession and one half semen interest.

Dear Cattlemen,

Welcome

First of all, thank you for your interest in what I believe is an opportunity like none other. The idea to have this bull sale stemmed from the multiple requests to buy or lease bulls in th Spring 2008. Never before have we retained this number of bulls for fear of not being able to move them. I believe this sale will quickly become one of the few sales across the country where individuals, such as yourself, will f ind a diverse group of young high quality bulls. It does not matter your type of operation, there IS SOMETHING HERE FOR EVERY POSSIBLE SCENARIO. These bulls are backed by pedigrees that I have conf idently used for many years. I do not expect any surprises when it comes to the impact these bulls will have on your operation. Please feel free to contact me anytime to discuss how and where these bulls should be used to capitalize on your much appreciated investment. See you May 9th.

Yours Truely, Mike, Tina, Ryley, Carmyn & Nick Huston

Huston 249 Sire: HEAT WAVE Dam: Full Flush x Maine #65 DOB: March 28, 2008 First of all, I promise this bull is way bigger boned than this picture portrays. And I would also wager he will be TH negative. I’ve seen a lot of Heat Wave sons come and go and I would put this one up against any of them in terms of pure POWER and MASS. The best part is he will SURPASS many of them simply based on SOUNDNESS. This dude has had a lot of friends. Come prepared. PHAC.

3

Huston 256 Sire: WHO MADE WHO Dam: Heat Wave x Magic #155 DOB: March 17, 2008 HOW ABOUT THIS ONE! Out of a f irst calf heifer! Rick Huston bought Lot 155 in last years sale and she raised this little critter. GOOD INVESTMENT! Talk about turnin’ out a more than capable clean up bull. This guy is the REAL DEAL! THC.

6

4

Huston 262 Sire: WARRANT Dam: True Green x #4026 DOB: March 25, 2008 As my good friend Dr. Mark Hoge would say, “time to focus”. This bull does not need to be used as a clean up bull. He needs to be collected and bred to your better Simmy influenced cows. No offense to anyone, but I don’t think there can be a hairier, stouter or more square hipped one anywhere else for sale. Def initely on everyone’s short list. THC & PHAC.

7

5

Huston 272 Sire: WARRANT Dam: True Green x #4026 DOB: March 25, 2008 The 3/4 brother to Lot 4, had some pretty big shoes to f ill, and has made a pretty good stab at it. You need to turn back the time clock to completely appreciate these two bulls pedigrees. TRUE GREEN was the Draftpick son out of SUSIE 176G. Who was without question the most dominate Maine-Anjou heifer shown by Trae Simmons of Indiana in 1998. PHAC.

8

6

Huston 252 Sire: BATES (DOUBLE VISION) Dam: C339U x Meyer 734 #82 DOB: March 27, 2008 Remember Red 9 guys? She was the Friction heifer we sold 1/2 interest for $17,000. Her mother was a BATES as well. Folks, here is a chance to introduce some powerful genetics at a fraction of the cost. Lot 6, 7 & 8 will make you come back for more! I PROMISE! THC & PHAC.

Talk of Texas

9

7

Huston 254 Sire: BATES (DOUBLE VISION) Dam: Comm. Simmental #4001 DOB: March 11, 2008 Raise your hand if you own any Commercial Angus or Simmental cows and you want to breed them to raise club calf mommas! Well your problem is solved. If I were going to keep him, he would be running with my 2 year old AFTER SHOCK’s Hint, Hint!! Sorry he might appear a little straight in the picture, HE ISN’T! THC.

10

8

Huston 274 Sire: BATES (DOUBLE VISION) Dam: Explosion (Granddaughter) #5 DOB: April 2, 2008 Next Question: Anyone‌ or do you know of anyone trying to raise steers for Houston, San Antonio, San Angelo or The Star? Get my point? The few boys from Texas who saw this one fell in love. The Shorthorn steer we sold the Copus family a few years back is a 3/4 brother to old BATES! And to this day Mark still says he might have been his favorite one Stetson ever fed! I’ll take that as a compliment. THC.

11

9

Huston 258 Sire: ALIAS Dam: Comm. Maine x Angus #440 DOB: March 18, 2008 Just a quick story, Dad, Bobbie, Taylor & I processed our replacement heifers the same day I wrote these footnotes. Like everyone does you make a lot of comments about the different sires and their daughters. Well, one thing became pretty consistant‌ the ALIAS heifers were awful impressive. Then I sat down and started looking at the pictures of the ALIAS bulls. I started to chuckle to myself, thinking how good they were as well. Starting with Lot 9 these next 5 bulls are flat good! Lot 9, had by far the second BEST HAIR this winter behind the Lot 4 WARRANT son! THC & PHAC.

12

10 Huston 259 Sire: ALIAS Dam: Comm.Angus #4003 DOB: March 11, 2008 Mark Sneed always said, “if you don’t have a good picture, you better not run it”. Well I guess that means we’re going to run this one! You be the judge. Club calves or not, you better be in Roseville on the 9th of May!

11

Huston 261 Sire: ALIAS Dam: Comm. Angus #32

Lot 10

DOB: April 4, 2008 Sorry we didn’t get a picture of this bull. This little rascal just REEKS of club calf potential. He is one stout, choked necked, big * * * * * , SOB! Did I mention hairy too!

13

12

Huston 266 Sire: ALIAS Dam: Comm. Angus #4302 DOB: April 3, 2008 This bull came in real late this winter and has flown under the radar much of the time. Well not any longer! If I were to use a picture to def ine balance it would be his! TWO WORDS: SMOKEY FEMALES!

14

13

Huston 270 Sire: ALIAS Dam: Picasso x Angus #74 DOB: March 17, 2008 I hope nobody coming to the sale is superstitious, because whoever buys #13 might end up being the luckiest one of all. I called my friend, Brent Tolle, the day I weaned this one and told him I might have found the next great maternal sire. Sooner or later he will take my word for it! BUY WITH CONFIDENCE! I promise you this bull has the presence to be SPECIAL!

* We would like to get at least 500 units of this semen for our use only!

15

14

Huston 3 Sire: DCC NEW LOOK 101 Dam: Direct Hit x Draftpick #6178 DOB: March 1, 2008 This guy is really starting to hit his stride. I’m sorry I cheated this bull a little to long this fall while on his momma. She brought $5,200 in our 2007 Sale. Looks like another solid investment for that owner.

16

Dam to Lot 14 • Huston 3 sold as Lot 178 at HCC Heart of the Herd Fall 2007 Sale

15 Huston 250 Sire: DCC NEW LOOK 101 Dam: Golddigger (Meyer 734 x Draftpick) DOB: March 17, 2008 Well, well, guess who did it again at the ripe young age of 11. That’s right, GOLDDIGGER x NEW LOOK 101. Only 9 years ago she raised a bull by the name of CHEAP TRICK that started the ball rolling for Caldwell’s Promo Bulls. Just read the pedigree a couple times to yourself and let it sink in. Oh, by the way, wait to see his full sister this winter as a bred?! Taylor thinks this one will be special someday!

Cheap Trick

17

16 Huston 271 Sire: DCC NEW LOOK 101 Dam: Juneau x Comm. Angus #119 DOB: March 7, 2008 UN-BULL-IEVABLE!! Guess who raised this one? Give up? Rick Huston! This bulls mother was Lot 119 in the HCC 2007 Sale. All joking aside guys, this is one remarkable individual! THE SKY IS THE LIMIT HERE!

18

DCC New Look 101

17

Huston 4 Sire: AFTER SHOCK Dam: Comm. Angus #4235 DOB: March 20, 2008 This bull is proof why we still breed 250 to 300 cows a year to AFTER SHOCK. I’ll be honest, I spent more time staring at this picture than any other! He has everything we need; muscle, bone, hip, rib, foot size, dimension and balance. Good stuff here!

After Shock

19

18

Huston 253 Sire: AFTER SHOCK Dam: Comm. Angus #4220 DOB: March 15, 2008 I’m not making excuses, but this bull is so much better in person, you wouldn’t believe it’s the same bull. Ask Shannon Frankenreider. He has been around a few couple thousand head, and this was his pick of the AFTER SHOCK sons!!

19

Huston 267 Sire: AFTER SHOCK Dam: Comm.Angus #4004 DOB: March 20, 2008

Lot 18 20

Another star headed power house. This is the kind of bull you need to buy 2 or 3 of and just kick out with the angus herd and call me around the f irst of November to buy the heifers. Trust him on this one.

20 Huston 269 Sire: AFTER SHOCK Dam: Comm. Maine x Angus #4077 DOB: March 4, 2008 Time to focus again! This guy is a STUD! Owning a bull of this caliber is worth it. It really doesn’t matter if you pay $2,500 or $7,000 for a bull like this one. His f irst calf crop will more than pay for himself!

21

Huston 275 Sire: AFTER SHOCK Dam: Comm. Charolais #403 DOB: April 12, 2008

Lot 20

Here is the perfect young bull for someone that I call a hobby farmer! You won’t sacrif ice any quality. And I’m sure he’ll be very affordable.

21

22 Huston 260 Sire: AFTER SHOCK Dam: Dateline Angus #205 DOB: April 4, 2008 I should name this bull patience! Because if the new owner has the necessary patience to let this bull mature and do his thing, he might leave behind the nicest group of young females as any other bull would in the entire offering – My gut instincts are usually right on! He might appear a little racey, but weren’t most of the FULL FLUSHES?

22

23 Huston 265 Sire: SIGHT UNSEEN Dam: Full Flush x Maine #40 DOB: April 20, 2008 What’s the old saying? The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! This deal is no fluke – wait till they try and buy his 1/2 brother by POINT TAKEN this fall! If you buy either Lot 22 or 23 my cell is (309) 368-2615. It’s all about Pedigrees! PHAC.

Sight Unseen

23

24 Huston 246 Sire: DJ SALUTION Dam: Dateline Angus #401 DOB: April 11, 2008

25 Huston 248 Sire: DJ SALUTION Dam: Dateline Angus #548 DOB: April 7, 2008

Lot 25 24

We tried DJ SALUTION for a little more outcross in the Simmy thing. These 3 bulls would compliment any commercial operation trying to put a little more heterosis in the calf crop! 1/4 Simmental x 3/4 Angus is the recipe for success at our local markets! I’m sure Dick, Jake or Brent would love to market your feeders.

Sire: DJ SALUTION Dam: Dateline Angus #211 DOB: April 8, 2008 PHAC

27 Huston 273 Sire: WHO MADE WHO Dam: Picasso x Angus #181 DOB: March 24, 2008 Study your lessons, WHO MADE WHO x PICASSO. Perfect to cover your possible carrier cows. i.e., Look at Lot 3!

I’m not joking one bit when I say this fall bull’s mother was one of the best MEYER 734 daughters I can ever remember. When Mark Taber bought this cow from us it hurt. But he is our banker and we have to keep them happy right??
