Doggy
I create a 3D virtual environment utilizing advanced holographic projection technology to address the issue that working people are frequently too busy to care for their dogs, making it simpler for owners to manage their pets and reducing separation anxiety. Come on!
Background
In China, more and more people are willing to keep pets at home. The statistics below show the present situation of pet cultivation.
Summary
Age of Pet Owner
Survey
The long time for aged dogs staying at home alone
Age of the dog Time spent alone Reason Puppies
From the tables, we can tell that dogs and cats are the two types of most popular choices among people. And the pet owners are mainly young people who are busy with daily work without enough company for their pets, especially dogs.
Problem
- 2 hours a day They need to pee more They are not used to being alone
Adult dogs (over 18 months) 4 – 6 hours a day They are used to being home alone
Elderly dog (over 7 years old) 2
6 hours a day It depends
Conclusion
Most dogs cannot be left at home alone for a long time, especially puppies. So, it's essential to offer pet dogs enough company at home.
I interview 4 owners raising 4 different kinds of pet dogs and known more details about their dogs' daily lives, especially at home alone.
Staying at home alone more than 8 hours, they will...
From 2000 dogs' owners:
Staying at home alone for a long time is bad for dogs. But the busy daily work outside the home causes the host to have an insufficient companions with their dogs. It is common but negetive for dogs. Dog owners are worried about this situation.
These observations are thought to be symptoms of a disorder which most authors refer to as . Separation Anxiety (SA)

Based on the aforementioned techniques, I plan to create a 3D virtual environment with different scenarios for lonely dogs at home. More different types of scenarios can be designed for the dog when it stays at home alone for hours, and it depends on different situation.
Now I need to do further surveys and tests for dogs to design the best suitable scenarios.
The way of clicker training is an easy approach for dogs to learn and I plan to use it to make them understand in the initial stage.

Preparation
To test the dog's visual sensitivity, I went to a Dog Café to test different types of dogs using colourful lights.
I use 4 flashlights with different colours to test different dogs' reactions and the following are mainly tested with Blu-ray
Analysis
Use different colors of light to guide the dogs and analyze how they react.

Conclusion
According to research and tests, blue and yellow lights in the home can attract and guide dogs.
Mood Board
According to the characteristics of different dogs and household types, owners can choose different virtual scenes to fit various requirements.
Other colours are less attractive to most dogs inside the room
So I try to alleviate the loneliness of dogs at home with virtual scenes in blue and yellow.

The owner gets up, and the dog is by his side.
To avoid loneliness, the virtual system is activated to attract the dog's attention.
After being guided by a specific scene, a hologram appears and various elements attract the dog’s attention.
When the virtual + physical game is over, the dog enters a state of exhaustion and begins to rest.
The owner leaves for work, and the dog began to stay home alone.
The virtual ball moves around to guide the dog's behavior and teach it how to interact with this system.
By changing different scenes and elements, dogs have more options to interact with.
The dog is sleeping for hours, without a sense of loneliness.
The dog begins to wait for his master, and after a while realizes that the master will not return until afternoon.
After the initial game, the master can start to select the advanced different games for the dog.
The master chooses the final difficulty that is appropriate to ensure the dog is interested.
When the dog wakes up, the owner is almost back, and the dog can play happily with him again.

Just speak
I design a tiny product that can help hearing-impaired elderly communicate with others more fluently and pleasantly, rather than the loud voice from others that could bring pressure on the elderly.
In China, about 120 million elderly are losing their hearing.
Approximately 1/3 of the elderly over 65 have moderate or severe hearing loss, and 1/2 of those over 75 do so.
More seriously, wearing rate of hearing AIDS for the hearing-impaired elderly is only 5% to 10%, which is far below the world average.
Questionnaire
Introduction
I made a questionnaire below for people of all ages and collected 102 valid results about the hearing-impaired elderly.
Problem
Without hearing aids, the elderly with hearing loss will gradually generate a variety of psychological and physiological problems.
Children felt aggrieved at talking loudly to the old man.
Old people feel lonely and suffer from mental illness.
Conclusion
The elderly with hearing loss need:
People raise the volume of conversation to the old.
They are estranged and unwilling to communicate

1. Device connection
The devices that use both sides (people who listen to the barrier) and the people who communicate with them are connected by BlueTooth.
Before the connection, the use of the parameters such as loudness, tone, tone, and sound quality is tested and calibrated.
2. Data test 3. Use and reception
After the calibration is complete, the two sides are constantly receiving their equipment.

Developing Modeling
I use Rhino to model this product by repeated scrutiny and finally determine the final form.
I succeed to program in Arduino and ArduBlock for a sound sensing system to recognise people's different volumns.
Using sound sensors and other components, I test the codes with a freind, and it works successfully!
Wiring Diagram
Instead of the designed volumns, I use a crabstick with slips of paper to show the different spining conditions in different volumns.

Fabrication
After multiple modeling debugging, I used 3D printing to make a 1: 1 model and test the effect of this product in the actual scene. It includes 6 volumes (a half spin) and a blade case.
I invite my friend to participate in the scenario test, where I pretend to an old man wearing this product to talk to him.

Origin Mode Mode A Mode B Headphones Hearing AIDS
The elderly with hearing loss cannot talk with others normally and they are sad.
Too high or too low voice for the elderly will be interacted with by yellow or red colour.
Hearing AIDS are too expensive to buy for most of them.
Only moderate sound for the elderly will make the product display green light.
With the product, they can hold it on to inform others if their voice is appropriate.
So, with the product, the elderly can talk with anyone in life easily.
Limitation
Population limitations
Target applicable group is limited to the elderly, not considering other hearing impaired groups.
Scene limitations
The main scene is limited to the user's daily conversation with others.
Functional limitations
The current function is only focusing on how to balance the speaker volume with the hearing-impaired elderly.
Interactive limitations
The current way of interaction is a visualization of color change and rotation.
