The second green house PLANT RESERCH CENTER

This project as a part of a agriculture complex provide a plant reserch function and a small scale residence area. It aims to combain the traditional office area and indoor cultivate technology meanwhils solve part of housing problem of employee. it also provide a visitor circulation and education space for farmer. In terms of previous researches, one of the most important thing is to arrange the test filed in the building, there are some case study interms of internal planting and water circle system. Meanwhile, design the residencial area in this plant research center is also important, this area have to be kept in a quiet area but can be integrated in the hole atmosphere at any times.

The pneumatic roof consist of 11 prefab steel structure which covered by ETFE membrane, this roof is designed to reduce the thermal infect that coming from outside meanwhile let the internal plant area get enough daylight. The raised shape can guide rain flow into the watercollection system efficiently. Furthermore, it also help internal ventilation through adjustable skylight.

The membrane is like the second skin of this greenhouse, according to ETFE's performance, the transmittance of this roof can be adjusted by changing the coating on the film surface. In this way, the transmittance of the membrane near the office area at the bottom will be controlled at 50 to 70 percent, and the transmittance of test filed area will be controled at 90%. Further more, it also keep the internal thermal at a stable stage to meet some of the higher requirements for living environment plants.

The sense of freedom and uncertainty of streamline is emphasized in this space meanwhile it help the central irregular garden extends to first floor platform . Daylight pour down through the transparent membrane roof to express a image of peace and harmony.

The studio surrounds central garden, in terms of material, it used transparent glass to obtain views and light. Circulation was desinged between office and garden in order to buffer the edge betweenn different function.

There are 10 adjusable skylight, when raining it can be opened to satisfy nature ventilation. When raining it can be closed to guide the rain collection.

The planting area is mainly on the first floor roof and in the central garden, part of them on the pathway. This arrangement allows workers to move quickly between the growing area and the lab meanwhile observe the plants. 11


HOUSE AMONG NATURE Considering that human is a part of nature, architecture as a human accessory not only need to focus on living comfort but also should not separate from surrounding e n v i ro n m e n t , w h i c h means that avoid overly use energy from nature"do more thing with less energy" and reduce the pollution and other negative impact to environment.

Regarding architecture as a kind of moutain on ground, like a second skin of nature.

T h e w h o l e p ro j e c t focuses on the exist form of residence complex in landscape. Not limited to follow natural system, but also tend to minimize the negative impact of the construction on the environment.

This eco-manifesto aims to create a architecture complex that integrated in nature, not only a literal green but also a deeper ecological system. It including but not limited nature ventilation, daylight, shadow; multiple green approches and light&flexible building structure. .

The building was raised one meter to allow the original surface ecosystem to continue, and the plot around the living room was preserved to ensure that the ecology was both ornamental and interactive

These space formed by the flaky tent are defined as a completely human place, providing shade and protection. They also provide a place of perception to residents.

The part that extends to the edge of the building forms a marginal corridor that blocks sunlight and rain, and the distribution of these elements is random

The poles supporting the tent are designed to be adjustable, It can adjust the height of the canvas according to different wind direction and sunshine angle to ensure environmental comfort.

This group is mainly designed for single and double living, there are small scale unit in apartments, and enough public space is designed to provide a social platform.The tent space on the roof is designed to be a more continuous space to create more social life.Privacy is limited to each person's room in this group, where people are not disturbed, public landscaped areas and rooftop tent Spaces are potential options when users need to socialize.

Designed for two to four people to share, this group has a corresponding living room and public space in the interior, and each room is equipped with a balcony to ensure sufficient light. In terms of public area, the central garden are divided two part to ensure privacy between public space. Considering that three or four users in a unit can already socialize with each other, the roof space is designed to be more decentralized and small-scale to ensure privacy and to be used only by family members.

Designed for families of three or more, the group has a fully functional interior with a large enough living room and balcony. The roof space is equipped with enough adjustable tents to create a place for family activities, and the units are independent of each other, making the roof space a completely private place.In the central garden there are staggered Bridges extending to each unit.

This group is designed for larger families, with fully equipped bedrooms and a larger living room and study. Each bedroom and living room has a corresponding balcony.Similar to the previous group, each unit is spaced apart to ensure privacy, and the roof space is also completely separated.The four units share a central garden and road system.

The system is replicable and can be linked by Bridges, especially on flat land. The elevation of part of the structure is a positive liberation of the ground ecology.The adjustability of the tents and poles increases the freedom and adaptability of the project.Prefabricated house parts also reduce the negative impact of the environment during construction. Further more, the structure is sustainable and supports customization.

3D PRINT MUSEUM The project is in the context of a hypothetical situation in which waste fibers become a significant part of urban waste due to overproduction in the textile industry and the lack of efficient reuse.The project aims to recycle the textile fibers through industrial processing and use them as raw materials for 3d printing. Exhibitions and tourist routes are interspersed throughout the plant, and converted printable materials can be used to make the building's facade as well as exhibits.

Based on this principle, I designed some prototypes of the factory frames, which were assumed to be rails supporting the internal printing arm and could be printed at any point in the factory.

The site is located on a plot in the old city of suzhou, surrounded by residential buildings and commercial areas. Since the height of the surrounding buildings is generally low, it is necessary to consider that the overall height of the project is not abrupt.

The final shape is designed as a steel frame structure with external glass curtain wall. An external escalator allow users access to building first floor from the west entrance. On the east side of the factory are two multifunction halls, which can provide cinemas, conferences, exhibitions and other functions as required.

An atrium in the middle of the building is used to show the production of large printing equipment, while the west side is used for the main stair transportation and office functions.On the outside of the glass curtain wall, a corridor is installed for visitors to get a complete view of the whole interior space, while also enjoying the external landscape.

A quiet white machine The facade is consist of glass curtain wall and precast concrete board, which aims to increases the indoor lighting and makes the whole space keep banlance between transparent and solid. While enhancing daylight, the transparent facade also reveals a sense of order within the building to the external environment, which is derived from the internal structure of the simulated machine.

Steel structure Spaces on both sides of the atrium provide a high degree of freedom for exhibition Spaces.Visitors can move between the inner space and the outer passage at any time to experience the spatial changes brought by different perspectives.

There are many very famous pedestrian streets in Shanghai. They are the accumulation and continuation of Shanghai's development from generation to generation. They are an integral part of Shanghai citizen's life and one of the many factors that attract tourists to Shanghai. These pedestrian streets have multinational cuisine, various goods and entertainment activities. They are the base of Shanghai's tall buildings and a unique cultural embodiment. Chinese people have a long tradition of offering sacrifices to ancestors and remembering their ancestors. Qingming Festival is not only the link of Chinese culture inheritance, but also a spring ceremony of hiking and close to nature.

The tower of soul under the stars The deceased's resting on the high tower not only gives the deceased a pure and natural soul return, but also allows the living to look up and see the landmark that symbolizes the destination. It give peace to the deceased, hope to the living. This project solves the problem of land tension in urban cemeteries by transforming the existence of the deceased into diamonds. At the same time, by designing related time-series landscapes, the deceased's diamonds will be transmitted to different locations for elatives mourning the dead. The diamonds of the deceased will be concentrated on the tower during the weekdays.

Distribution of building and people The surrounding traffic system forms four traffic nodes near the site.The largest traffic node becomes the entrance to the site.

The main building and pedestrian flow layout inside the site are formed by connecting the four transportation nodes.The straight layout makes the whole building more ritual.

Building height and symbol In order to make the building become a famous landmark of the city, and make it have the characteristics of upward sustainable growth, the height of the tower is higher than most of the surrounding buildings.

The building is distributed along the main road, bone diamonds are stored on high towers and transported by the tracks attached to them.

Building green space and function distribution The tower is a cemetery that exists in the city and also serves as a landmark of the city. This area is a cemetery at certain times of the year, and urban green space and park at other times.

It is a green area on weekdays, and it will be converted into a cemetery on certain anniversaries and festivals.The bone diamonds stored on the high tower will be transmitted to the green space through the track for people to worship.

The project consists of a central tower on the east and west sides and a secondary tower as a transport hub.The function of the core tower is its landmark properties and service functions.The service functions mainly include ashes conversion service and storage service.The secondary tower is connected to the storage bin of the main tower by a transmission link, so the user can request the system to sweep the tomb at the beginning of the secondary tower, and the corresponding items will be transported from the warehouse to the grave site beside the secondary tower.

As mentioned above, the original intention of this project is to present and preserve the dead in another form in the city, so this project symbolizes a symbol or phenomenon for Shanghai.At the top of the city skyline are the souls that once lived in the land.

The names and ashes of the deceased will be transported to the designated grave site along with the transmission link of the secondary tower. This series of transmission operations require the advance booking of family members and the determination of the time.Most of the time the diamonds and inscriptions are stored in warehouses.On certain Chinese festivals, such as tomb-sweeping day, the site is transformed on a large scale to accommodate the large-scale tomb-sweeping activities.

Center tower's main function is the ashes conversion and product storage, each floor are designed to be connected to the outside of the orbital, resulting in a user to festivals can quickly transfer the diamonds to the corresponding position.Can be fabricated structure have made it possible to grow again, the tower root need to increase the layer.

Bridge in wavy Group work The concept of the bridge is the interweave.It aims to express the cultural interweave in architectural language. The bridge allows the affective interweave when the people on different layers to communicate and play. It also provides the functional interweave where pedestrian can pass the lower deck conveniently and quickly, but relaxed students can experience through the upper deck at the same time. The trusses of lower-level bridge continue to grow, supporting the upper-lever bridge, which form an integral system and structural interweave.

Construction Progress The truss combines two parts of
