A cultural center that serves an appearance of respecting and preserving the traditions and culture of Lombok community. This building stands in the Cakranegara district which is an area that has a high historical and cultural value. Carrying the concept of “Local Beliefs” which creates a design layout that has the value of the traditions and culture of Lombok community. The design implements the grid of Cakranegara district which is oriented towards Mount Rinjani, which is believed by the people of Lombok that have a sacred and high values. By applying various forms and beliefs to the existing traditions it is hoped that this cultural park can function as a place that represents Mataram and also can respect and preserve the existing culture and traditions of Mataram.

INSPIRATION AND IDEA Implementing the Cakranegara grid system, the belief to the mount Rinjani, the local housing arrangement, the traditional building form and the traditional ornament of sasak into the design. Interpreting the local belief to create a character of Mataram in this Cultural Center.

This office is not just a place to work to express all ideas and creativity. In this millennial era, millennials want a more flexible office. This model is believed to be more conducive to encourage productivity, collaboration, innovation and involvement. The approach is an industrial office design that displays a unique aesthetic of honesty in the characteristics of its building materials. Honesty from industrial approach is expected to create an honest work ethic and bring up original ideas.

This project aims to design an apartment concept that can perform well for the building itself and also affect the living qulity of the occupants. Sustainable Green Building approach is one the solution. One aspect of this design is the site selection of the project. Site selection is one of the important things in this Sustainable Green Building approach. Site selection must be in a location that has sufficient public facilities, has access to public transportation, providing bicycle facilities, and has a supply of important networks in the city, so that site selection itself can reduce the amount of energy used and building users doesn’t need to use motorized vehicle which in turn can increase the carbon footprint which can have a bad impact for the earth. This apartmnet also reducing the use of energy from adaptive facade design which give the occupant a freedom to manage their own comfort by adjusting the adjustbale facade module. The building also can produce energy in the apartment site using solar panels that are integrated with the electrical system in in the building. This approach in this apartment is expected to be able to make a building environmentally friendly and have good performance and can reduce energy use for a more sustainable future.

with adaptive reuse and regionalism approaches which forms an International Terminal that shows the imagery of Batam and able to create an ease of circulation in ferry terminal
Engku Putri International Ferry Terminal Batam Center is the development of adaptive reuse and regionalism approach in order to create an ease of circulation in an effort to enhance the ferry terminal as an international gateway via sea lanes from Singapore and Malaysia to Batam, as well as an icon and landmark that becomes the first impression when foreign tourists enter the city of Batam. In order to achieve an international ferry terminal that has the characteristics of a region where it was established and which considers the circulation to minimize the travel time of user, it is done by improving the physical area using a regionalism approach and good circulaton in room programming. To make this design different from other international ferry ports in Batam that apply modern concepts to building forms, the application of regionalism as an architectural design approach is able to improve the quality of the International Ferry Terminal design which upholds the identity of Batam city which is known as the land of malay. With this, it can create a new branding on the international ferry terminal that brings the values of Malay culture as well as minimizing the time movement of passenger in ferry terminal that reflects Batam.

This project aims to redesign a boulevard in front of city square that later increasing the attractiveness of the park at the end of the boulevard and increase the quality of the pedestrian and the median as the element of the the boulevard itslef. Pedestrian and the median has a big impact in the designing of the boulevard. The pedestrian on the both side can easily recognized by the people around. In the other hand, the median itself become the most unique element on the boulevard. Re-designing the median area and increase the space value to become an area that can be used for the people to hang out. The park at the end of the boulevard also increased in term of the quality and the facilities inside. It also helps to boost the attractiveness on the park as a public space.

As one of the important centre for classical Javanese fine arts and culture, Yogyakarta is also rich when it comes to its natural aspects. The Bamboo Forest is an ecological and sustainable tourist attraction, The 55.000 m2 area reserves a number of rare ecosystems of floodplain and deciduous forests, freshwater and saltwater lakes, all combined with rich fauna and flora. Incorporating such ecologic diversity in a small region makes Yogyakarta a unique location in Asian context. It’s located by the main road leading to the center of Yogyakarta, while being 10 km away from the Merapi.The bamboo structures within the forest were treated using traditional methods before being assembled on site. It is the explorating through the forest with its distinct design that creates an unforgetable adventure. The curvilinear pathways with its contrast to the bamboo give the sense of a balanecd environment and aesthetics. The Bamboo Forest project is ambitious and innovative in its conceptual aspects, carrying the potential of valorizing the surrounding area and offering an unprecedented nature-tourism experience in Indonesia, while aiming to remain humble and environmental friendly in its actual execution. from this point of view ,the Bamboo Forest has a valuable mission of protecting the local forestal ecosystem, by defining a new use for the area.

Bhanu Arsyi Akila Honorable Mention Pada umumnya kantor penuh dengan hiruk pikuk dan pekerjaan yang melelahkan, sedangkan rumah merupakan tempat beristirahat dan mencari ketenangan. Dalam konsep REL [e] Fan home office ini, kami menghadirkan sebuah kantor yang tidak hanya sebagai tempat bekerja namun sebagai tempat berelaksasi dengan pendekatan ruang-ruang semi terbuka untuk memberikan suasana yang baik dan menghindarkan para pegawai dari rasa bosan saat mereka bekerja pada ruangan tertutup dan jauh dari view. Kantor ini juga dilengkapi dengan area istirahat untuk melepas penat sesaat hingga siap untuk kembali produktif bekerja. Konsep sustainable menggunakan material-material bekas yang diolah kembali (reclaimed) dengan beberapa penyesuaian untuk menekan anggaran biaya serta mengurangi libah-limbah material yang ada di lingkungan. Berdasarkan pengalaman yang kami temui, pada lokasi-lokasi tertentu sekitar area stasiun sering ditemukannya rel-rel kereta yang sudah tidak terpakai dan terbengkalai. Dalam bangunan ini, kami berusaha mengaplikasikan rel-rel kereta yang sudah tidak terpakai tersebut menjadi struktur pada home office ini karena memiliki kekuatan yang baik. Penggunaan tutup depan kipas angin untuk facade bangunan dan penggunaan kayu bekas untuk dinding dan pintu merupakan usaha yang kami lakukan untuk menerapkan material dan barang bekas yang sering ditemukan dan bisa kita gunakan kembali sehingga bermanfaat untuk mengurangi sampah dan menghemat biaya.

Berlokasikan di Batam, POM coffe merupakan sebuah coffee shop yang cukup unik karena berlokasi di sebuah SPBU. Awalnya POM Coffee hanya sebuah cafe kecil yang kemudian di renovasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan yang semakin bertambah serta untuk memnuhi kebutuhan ruang indoor yang awalnya tidak ada pada cafe ini. Visualisasi render foto POM Cafe dengan suasana sore hari dengan lighting yang disimulasikan agar suasana sore menuju malam dapat tercapai. Selain menambah visualisasi susasana, penambahan ligthing dapan meng-highlight elemenelemen yang ada pada POM Coffee.

Berdiri di atas satu bongkahan batu keras. Berlokasi di sebuah bukit di Plangkaraya. Villa diatas batu ini menjadikannya sebagai nilai jual keunikan dari villa ini, Alih-alih dibongkar, dihancurkan atau dijadikan material bangunan. Batu raksasa tersebut diolah sedemikian rupa sehingga memberikan manfaat sebagai base bangunan sekaligus memberi aksen landscape natural pada keseluruhan desain.

Rumah dan Apotik yang didesain berada pada satu lahan besar demi memenuhi kebutuhan client akan pekerjaan serta untuk mengurangi mobilitas yang berlebihan. Maka desain ini tercipta dengan bangunan yang saling terkoneksi antara pemilik rumah yang sekaligus bekerja sebagai petugas kesehatan yang memerlukan tempat praktik yang langsung berhubungan dengan hunian. Desain yang kontras antara kedua bangunan menunjukkan dua fungsi yang berbeda antara kedua bangunan jika dilihat dari luar, namun secara tidak langsung keduanya saling berhubungan guna menunjang mobilitas sang klien.

Hotel dan Area Komersil terletak di Kabupaten Tapin, Kalimantan Selatan ini terdiri dari Hotel dan Pusat FnB (Food and Baverages). Area komersil ini sekaligus mengumpulkan aktivitas-aktivitas manusia dengan pilihan amenities yang variatif dalam mengembangan perekonomian daerah setempat. Area komersil sendiri didukung dengan fasilitas publik yang dapat digunakan masyarakat sekitar dalam mengisi keseharian mereka. Fasilitas pendukung berupa taman dan ruang olahraga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai area rekreasi yang tidak menutup kemungkinan juga dapat di jadikan ruang komersil yang juga dapat menambah nilai jual dari tempat ini. Area taman juga terdapat berbagai spot-spot yang dapat digunakan masyarata dari anakanak sampai dewasa. Area olahraga juga dapat digunakan berbagai komunitas sekitar untuk area berkumpul dan bercengkrama.

Client Bpk. Romi Merancang sebuang desain pada bangunan yang sudah ada memang menjadi tantangan tersendiri bagi seorang arsitek. Pada ada awalnya merupakan sebuah rumah tinggal Jawa yang beralih fungsi menjadi cafe sekaligus ruang bagi mahasiswa untuk mengerjakan tugas atau sekedar melepas jenuh dunia perkuliahan. Renovasi cafe sendiri dilakukan guna memnuhi kebutuhan ruang yang lebih serta demi meningkatkan kualitas sirkulasi yang ada di dalamnya. Desain yang kontras antara ke-khas-an rumah jawa dengan ke-modern-an elemen besi memberikan kesan desain yang lebih menarik namun tetap tidak bisa mengalahkan nilai khas dari rumah jawa itu sendiri. Akibatnya terciptalah desain yang modern namun menerapkan elemen-elemen rumah jawa yang ada yang di aplikasikan kepada material yang digunakan dalam desain renovasi cafe ini. Penggunaan material natural seperti kayu dan bambu juga menjadi elemen yang cukup unik yang memberi kesan tradisional yang tidak akan lekang oleh ke-modern-an zaman. Sehingga konsep Adaptive Re-use yang kontras tercipta pada keseluruhan desain.

Cafe di Kaki Gunung Ciremay ini merupakan sebuah konsep rekreasi yang bersinggungan dengan nilai-nilai alamiah dari sebuah gunung. Bermaterialkan bambu sebagi elemn utama menjadikan cafe ini menyatu dengan kondisi sekitar yang diselimuti pohon-pohon khas gunung yang memberikan kesan alami dan natural. Cafe sendiri berperan bagaikan area pantau yang menyaksikan keindahan alam yang tak terbatas di depannya. Permainan landscape yang mengikuti kemiringan gunung juga menjadikan pengalaman yang berbeda bagi pengunjung yang sekaligus berfungsi seperti aphiteater yang mengarah ke area luas tak terbatas di depannya. Cafe bambu di TNGC ini diharapkan dapat mengenalkan, mendekatkan, dan membuka sudut pandang baru para pengunjung atas kapasitas pemanfaatan material organik pada kekayaan alam dari Taman Nasional Gunung Ciremay
