DESIGN PROCESS
The color sheme does not stand only one color, each unit can be different colors. Those make the room look dynamic, playful and interesting.
PERSPECTIVE
The main concept is spiral curve. The curve is inpired from the hard shell of a snail and is given thickness to transform to a volumic shape. The curvy units are continous to make waving feeling from side view. By the way, there is reflection on the marmoleum flooring so “the waves” can be reflected to get a very nice view.

CONCEPT
WORKSTTION IDEA
The top view is inspired from the image of The Sun (soleil) which is a circle with rays. The “rays” are turned 45 degree and two more layer of “rays” are added to get the light bounce, avoiding dazzle. The light fixture, measuring 350 (diameter) x450 (height), is a lantern-like size. The “Soleil lantern” can either be in a living room, dining room, versatile room or any decorated area inside a house. Also, it is built to target light efficiency with easily assemble concept idea.

The concept of this light fixture is a modern lantern. In the past, the lantern was used to bright up an area, it can also be used as a decoration. People were using paper to made a lantern and there was an candle which is to light the lantern up from inside. With Chinese people, the lantern is known as a lucky object and with Vietnamese, a lantern is hanging in a house which means “peace”, “calm” and “happiness”. Nowadays, A lantern are still using as a meaningful object. The candle is replace by an light bulb which is last longer and safer.
