New Zealand’s only IANZ Accredited Height Safety Laboratory. QSI are accredited by IANZ to test height safety equipment to the AS/NZS 1891.1 and AS/NZS 1891.3 standards. This means every height safety product we make has been tested to the most stringent standards. Having our own testing facility on site gives us the unique opportunity to take our products to the limit multiple times throughout the development process instead of relying on fewer, more expensive tests in a foreign lab. This allows us to identify and solve problems quickly, greatly reducing development costs, resulting in a better and more affordable product for our customers.

Will Not Leak - the fibre will not leach or discharge the absorbed pollutant making it clean and easy to handle.

Environmentally Friendly - as well as being made from a natural, renewable source, ANA-Fibre can be incinerated or disposed of in landfills without damaging the environment. It can even be made into compost! Over time, ANA-Fibre slowly breaks down the absorbed contaminants and gradually releases them harmlessly into the environment. When incinerated, the resulting residue is only 4% of its original volume.* Light Weight - allows the user to carry more product, clean up more spill, and save on transportation and disposal costs.

Why it works. Help-It ANA-Fibre is harvested in New Zealand and is naturally occurring. After treatment the natural moisture content is reduced to around 10-15% and the cellular structure of the fibre is altered to become completely hydrophobic (water resistant) while becoming highly absorbent of hydrocarbons and chemicals. The refined fibre is then packaged loose in carry-bags, distributed in bulk, or used in our unique socks, pillows and booms for instant spill containment.

ANA-Fibre Products Loose ANA-Fibre and Granular Absorbent Important Note: Weight, Volume and Absorbency of ANA-Fibre ANA-fibre is measured and sold by volumetric weight. By its very nature, dry ANA-Fibre can vary in weight while not changing significantly in volume. The absorbency of ANA-Fibre is affected by the viscosity of a spill; this means you will require less ANA-Fibre to absorb a thicker liquid than a thinner liquid of the same volume. Likewise, many external factors can affect absorbency including humidity, surface conditions, etc. When purchasing ANA-Fibre, keep this general rule in mind: One kilogram of fibre will absorb 3-5 litres of hydrocarbons depending on viscosity and conditions.

The QSI Drop Test Facility

Harness Range Our Full Body Harness range has an innovative clamshell design allowing the user full adjustment on the chest, legs and position of the Dorsal D-Ring. This means they fit more users, more comfortably. The standard harness will fit from a medium to a 2XL sized worker. The webbing to adjustment relationship is critical to happy users, as well as the ease of donning the harness. With this in mind our harness has been designed to be what the workforce is looking for. In the event of a fall, the durable polyester webbing in our design evenly distributes the impact over the thighs, torso and buttock region. Polyester is known for being wear resistant and non-stretch when compared to other materials, so the harness does not stretch dangerously out of shape when subjected to a fall and the wearer does not risk slipping out of the harness. Our fall arrest products are designed to meet the high demands of the industry, with high-quality fittings and easy adjustment to ensure high user acceptance.

Testing: As well as subjecting our harnesses to rigorous, independent testing and certification, we have our own drop test facility on site to ensure our products don’t just meet the standard but exceed it.

Standards: Our height safety products have been specifically designed to conform with the necessary standards such as AS/NZS 1891.1 2007.

SBE2

Our standard Full Body Harness features two attachment webbing loops and a dorsal attachment D-Ring for fall-arrest. The sternal attachment points are particularly suitable for use with rope or cable grabs and offer a comfortable position to work from as well as for rescue. High strength, easy adjustment webbing buckles are used on both legs and chest. Other features include easy-grip shoulder adjustment buckles, webbing fall arrest loops and high strength stitch pattern.

One of the biggest challenges facing construction companies is keeping welding and grinding sparks off the harness webbing. High tech Kevlar/Nomex harnesses are available but the cost is exorbitant. QSI brings you the solution: The FR Harness Vest. The FR Harness Vest is comprised of a 100% FR treated cotton vest with an integrated SBE2KQR full body harness. The vest provides thermal and burn protection to the harness webbing and the wearer, and features several flaps that allow easy access to the dorsal D-Ring and chest loops. The vest detaches from the harness, allowing either to be replaced as required, and making the harness available for inspection. The combination makes donning the harness easy. Specialty Harnesses Full Body Technical Rope Rescue Harness The QSI SBEMT Technical Rope Rescue Harness is an innovative design allowing the user full adjustment on the chest, legs and position of the Dorsal D-Ring. The result is a harness that fits more users, more comfortably. A standard harness will fit from a medium to a 2XL worker. QSI believe the webbing-to-buckle adjustment relationship is critical to happy users, as well as the ease of putting on the harness. With this in mind we designed our Technical Rope Rescue Harness to be what the workforce is looking for. In the event of a fall the durable Polyester webbing in our design evenly distributes the impact over the thighs, torso and buttocks. Polyester is known for being wear resistant and non-stretch when compared to other materials, so the harness does not stretch dangerously out of shape when subjected to a fall, reducing the risk of slipping out of the harness. QSI arrest products are designed to meet the high demands of the industry, and the high-quality fittings and easy adjustability of the SBEMT model ensures high user acceptance.

The QSI SBEARB2 was designed by local arborists who needed a working harness. Double padding gives extra support and spreads the pressure on the legs. Extra-wide, semi-rigid waistbelt offers exceptional support. Easy to don with FAST buckles on the waistbelt and leg loops. Attachment bridge provides lateral mobility. This is attached to the waistbelt and to the leg loops by a locking buckle to increase hang time, in order to distribute the pressure evenly between the waistbelt and leg loops. The two lateral attachment points transfer the weight evenly around the waistbelt for comfort when leaning back in the belt (when feet are supported). Three equipment loops with protective sheaths. One ring for attaching a hand saw. Eight adjustment points means the user can customize the fit and tweak the harness for a comfortable fit.

Suspension Trauma Strap

This condition can occur when a person remains suspended at height (after a fall) for even short periods of time.

The QSI Suspension Trauma Strap is designed to prevent suspension trauma while a worker is awaiting rescue.

Suspension in a harness may cause blood to pool in the veins of the legs which can result in unconsciousness; if not rescued promptly, serious injury or death may occur.
