HOME OF HOPE CREATING BETTER FUTURES TOGETHER New Generations Foundation is the funding vehicle to work with underserved communities so new generations can positively transform themselves, their families and their communities. In the spring of 2016, missionaries visited Cuatro Cienegas for their annual Holy Week missions. Together, with the help of Qualfon and other corporate sponsors, they began to visualize a new life for this impoverished town. Faced with the reality of Cuatro Cienegas’ growing social and economic issues, the missionaries turned to a group of experts to diagnose and assess the needs of the people in the town.
Mission of Plan 2040: To transform the community of Cuatro Cienegas, by focusing on developing the new generations of people and fulfilling a long-term plan together. This initiative will continue to expand outreach into the community largely due to the generous sponsorship of Qualfon, the local citizens, community leaders, volunteers and other organizations. Mission Plan 2040 was founded on four pillars: family, education, health and employment. These pillars provide opportunities for an enriched, sustained community and better overall life.

The Helping Hand Full-time guides and volunteers: • Get to know the family • Provide monthly visits to check on newborns • Update health records and accomplishments • Invite mothers and children to Home of Hope classes • Create customized binders with vaccine trackers, baby milestones and sacramental preparation

The Helping Hand Home of Hope provides early stimulation classes • Twice a week, mothers and their babies attend the early stimulation classes • Classes are designed to aid and encourage babies’ needs for social, mental and physical development • Classes provide activities that foster mother-infant bonding, which cultivates strong interpersonal relationships

• The average worker makes a mere $117.57 USD per month, coming in well below the working wage
• Lower wages present families with numerous mental and financial hardships
• Job opportunities are very scarce

BIGGER HOME FOR THE NEW GENERATIONS Home of Hope • A 26,000 square foot facility which includes audio-visual rooms, instructional classrooms for job creation workshops and therapy rooms for coaching • Represents a modern Mexican design that will serve over 300 people in a well thought-out facility • Provides an inviting plaza where families can socialize, hold celebrations and organize events • Serves as the home for Rochat University programs • Functions as a house of prayer and reflections, with an 80-seat chapel

CHILD DEVELOPMENT Harvard University’s Center on the Developing Child • Provides diverse activities designed around building a R&D (research and development) platform for sciencebased innovation • Transforms the policies and practices that support child development and demand change • Advances science to achieve a promising future for every child
Building an R&D Platform The Center on the Developing Child’s R&D platform, Frontiers of Innovation (FOI), provides scientific research that supports testing, implementation and refinement strategies designed to achieve significantly better life outcomes for children facing adversity.
There are three components to our R&D work: • Science that provides a continuous pipeline of discoveries and hypotheses (from the biological, behavioral and social disciplines) that are translated for non-scientists to understand and apply • Intervention strategies designed, tested and refined through FOI’s IDEAS Impact Framework. Small-scale pilots are used to populate largescale, evidence-based intervention • A learning community of people and organizations united by a common vision, engaged in shared learning to accelerate innovation. This community promotes early adoption of promising strategies, and testing pathways to impact at scale
