Finish to steel Composite steel doors come with either powder coated finish or heat transfer print, depending on door design. Due to the nature of material any exposed steel edges not forming part of standard finish, should be treated to ensure rust prevention. No liability shall be accepted for doors, which subsequently develop rusk where exposed edges have not been adequately treated by an approved tradesman following receipt, whether or not outside or inside 12-months warranty period. 3rd Party Damage Due to the inherent strength of steel doors will withstand greater force than inferior strength plastic or wood products. This should not however be considered as guarantee that products will endure sustained attack or force – and we offer no guarantee’s with regard to this. Maintenance To maintain the high quality finish, we recommend that stainless steel hardware is routinely wiped down using a clean, lint free cloth with some warm water and mild detergent. The keep moving parts moving we also advise applying a light non-corrosive lubricant twice per year, and ‘duraglit’ or equally approved product where surface found to be ‘pitted’ therefore promoting lime scale or other oxidisation / build up to occur on the surface.
