Using UV-C light

The portable unit is positioned in a room and turned on for a few seconds, during which the UV-C light it emits kills pathogens on surrounding surfaces. Recent independent tests proved MoonBeam3 disinfection technology was effective against SARS-CoV-2 under a range of conditions, with contact times as low as four seconds delivering a 6-log reduction (99.9999% or million-fold) in the number of virus particles.

Unlike fogging and similar techniques, relatively little setup time is required and the room can be used immediately after disinfection is finished. Although UV-C is not designed as a replacement for deep cleaning or regular disinfection of frequent touch surfaces it is effective as an adjunct to complement these processes.
