INFORMATION The Cross-Curricular Programme provides Junior School students with the opportunity to pursue their personal interests while reinforcing the attributes of the IB Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning – research skills, social skills, thinking skills, communication skills and selfmanagement skills. The programme’s offering is broad and allows students of all ages to extend their potential beyond the classroom. 2

Cross-Curricular Programme OVERVIEW
HOW TO ENROL
This pamphlet has been developed to assist students and parents in their understanding of the Cross Curricular Programme at QMC and provides a brief outline of the clubs and activities available.

Enrolments can only be made through the Trybooking site – links to each activity are listed in the description.
•
Places are limited and are issued on a first come basis.
Details may vary from time to time. It should be used as a guide when deciding which activities students wish to participate in.
•
Minimum numbers apply. If the minimum number of students is not met, the activity will not go ahead for the term.
Students are able to join these activities to pursue personal interests.
•
There is a waitlist system through Trybooking. If additional places become available, the order of the waitlist will be used.
We will aim to grow the programme throughout the year to continue to provide more opportunities for growth and development. Please read the terms below before registering your daughter’s interest.

Each cross-curricular activity costs between $10 and $20 per session. All cross-curricular Activities are charged per term to your QMC College Account. The Trybooking system will list the event as ‘free’, this is because the fee will not be taken by the booking system, rather charged to your QMC account. In order to cover the upfront costs associated with conducting the cross-curricular activities, refunds are not available if your child is not able to attend any of the days.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS •
Chinese Culture Club runs on a Wednesday lunchtime.
•
All other activities take place after school and run between 3.30pm and 4.30pm
•
Students will be supervised between 3pm and 3.30pm and should take with them a small snack for afternoon tea.
•
At the conclusion of the activity, each child must be collected at 4.30pm sharp.
•
No student will be permitted to wait unattended to be picked up after the conclusion of the activity. Any student without a parent present at the end of the activity will be taken to After School Care, and a $20 fee will be incurred regardless of the time spent at After School Care.

Please advise the Teacher-in-Charge if you have booked your child in to attend After School Care at the conclusion of the activity. Please note that the cost for cross-curricular activities does not include After School Care. If you wish to book into After School Care, this is a separate service and you will be charged accordingly. If your daughter attends ASC at the end of an activity there will be a partial fee.
