NEW ZEALAND THE LAND OF EXPERIENCES
From the crisp days of spring to the burnt orange beauty of autumn, New Zealand is a year-round traveller’s paradise. A small and remote South Pacific nation, there are few places on Earth as diverse as New Zealand, both in its landscapes and in the possibilities of what to do in them. It’s a destination where everything’s close, yet the sheer diversity of experiences on offer makes travelling across this exceptional wonderland like experiencing several countries all at once. It’s quite feasible to be taking in the view from atop a glacier one day, feeling the unique rush of a whale-watching encounter the next and relaxing on a beautiful beach that stretches for miles somewhere in between. Experiencing nature at its most raw and varied, you’ll understand why the locals call it ‘God’s Own Country’. Consistently in the making, its geology is arguably some of the most fascinating on Earth and its charming towns and vibrant cities offer unique Kiwi Hospitality which nicely wraps the unforgettable gift which is New Zealand.

NEW ZEALAND TRULY IS A YEAR-ROUND DESTINATION... No matter the season, the majority of main attractions are still accessible. The climate ranges from subtropical in the north to temperate in the south. As most of the country lies close to the coast, temperatures are in the main, mild and as a rule of thumb, increase as you travel north. SPRING

NB: Temperatures are all base on daytime averages
January and February are the warmest months and July is the coldest of the year. Spring and Autumn are often regarded as two of the best times of year to travel around the country, particularly for those seeking to beat the crowds and arrive when holiday prices are at their best.
E X P E R I E N C E S T H AT B L O O M I N S P R I N G SPRING: SEPTEMBER - NOVEMBER Spring is New Zealand’s ‘waterfall season’ with snowmelt from the mountains feeding the country’s falls which multiply with magnificent effect. It’s the most impressive time of year to take a tour to Hobbiton Film Set; the charming bluebells and Middle earth gardens are in full flower. Explore world-class vineyards in Hawke’s Bay as well as their prestigious Food and Wine festival, FAWC, or explore the great outdoors on one of New Zealand’s Great Walks or Cycle Trails.
EXPERIENCES THAT COME ALIVE IN AUTUMN AUTUMN: MARCH - MAY Autumn has some of the most settled weather of the whole year. It’s the perfect time to try fly fishing, and be awe-struck by incredible marine mammals including dolphins, penguins seals and majestic whales. See the night sky at its best with stargazing spots to rival the best in the world. The colours are incredible during autumn, especially in the South Island. The creative quirkiness of the kiwi culture can be fully appreciated at the Hokitika Wildfoods Festival where delicious local delicacies like huhu grubs and whitebait patties.

MIDDLE EARTH Ever since the first ‘The Lord of the Rings’ movie, New Zealand has been known as the 'Home of Middle‑earth'. The similarities are remarkable, bubbling brooks intersect with gentle waterfalls; snowcapped peaks cast shadows over lush forest valleys, and ancient glaciers – frozen in time – cascade almost to the sea. With more than 150 locations throughout the country used to film The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Trilogy, there are many activities and attractions offer the chance for visitors to see the film locations first-hand.
