10 Years of Kolperi Outback Filmmaking

Since 2014, Griffith Film School students have been heading to the Outback to make a film entirely in Winton to screen as part of the Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival Final Night Showcase and Short Film Competition. Screening most nights before the main feature, 10 Years of Kolperi Outback Filmmaking will showcase the best Griffith Film School student films shot in and around Winton. With films starring industry names like Guyton Grantley (Underbelly), Roy Billing (The Dish) to Winton’s own Mayor, Gavin Baskett, this celebration will highlight the next generation of filmmaking talent, many of whom are already making a name for themselves in Industry.

Behind the Screen

Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival is managed and delivered by a dedicated volunteer Board, a small team of enthusiastic contractors and passionate volunteers. The festival pays tribute to our founding chairperson, Butch Lenton, who led the event from inception.
