The perfect dress dress The perfect
Bring down your height. A ball gown works nicely, if it has a train, let it come around the dress instead of extending it; this takes the focus away from your height. Bare your shoulders, possibly an off the shoulders neckline with vast sleeves are a good option. Dramatic veils are also in alternative.
Too thin.
A heavier fabric like velvet, satín or moire will give you an illusion of extra pounds. Embroidery to the waist and narrow sleeves will make a great addition.
To look thinner.
With an A-line dress or Princess cut dress. A classic slim cut with vertical lines is also possible. Go with a strapless neckline and avoid heavy and extra fabric on the skirt.
Minimize bust area.
A neckline in “V” or high neck with a peep hole is usually more attractive. Avoid empire waist cut, this brings more attention to the upper portion of the dress. A column or straight line skirt would be great, even a full skirt would work nicely.
Small bust area.
A halter neckline works great for the bust area. Bring details to the area, by having applications, embroidering, etc. to give it volume. Consider a sweetheart neckline.
Slim down the hip area.
This is a very common concern. Consider an A-line cut dress. Focus on the upper portion of the body and waist area (instead of the hip area) when choosing your dress.
Short torso.
A-line dress types work best for you. Your torso will be more defined by having your skirt start a few centimeters below your real waist and ending in a V at the bottom.
Wide back. Select a dress with
an ample skirt, very simple sleeves and avoid extra embroidering to the top of the dress. Bring the attention to the skirt.
Narrow shoulders
If you have narrow shoulders, small bust and wide hips, you will need to bring some balance to the upper portion of the dress with a corset, some details to the shoulders, such as voluminous sleeves and a “V” neckline cut or go strapless, but the key to making a strapless successful is to have lots of embroidery on the greater part of the corset, such as flowers and bows.
Lots of curves.
If you have a bust, ample hips and a defined waistline, dresses that are more fitted emphasize very well your proportionate body. Go for A-Line, Princess cut or Mermaid cut dresses.
If you are tall.
If you are tall and thin you can shine in almost any type of dress, as long as it does not make you look too thin and without shape. The ideal is an off the shoulder with tiers and flounces, a natural waist and full skirt would create an optical effect of volume.
Want to appear taller.
If your height is 5 feet or less you should wear more of a simple model dress. Avoid any detail to the shoulders, such as puffy sleeves or long fitted sleeves. If your dress has a train, it must go in agreement with the stature of your body and not be out of proportion. Try a dress with a high neckline collar and empire waist. Another idea is to have capped sleeves and wear long gloves. Consider going with a strapless neckline cut.
Very tall and broad shoulders.
Opt for more of a simple dress, without embroidering, of single lines that defined your figure without bringing attention to your upper body. Avoid the ample shoulder reinforcements, the cross straps or halter necklines, and full skirts with lots of flare. Bring down your height.

You have to say thanks in public, and it’s not proper to hide away and pretend that no one will notice. It is your celebration and everyone expects to see you shine in every aspect throughout the night. This will probably be the most difficult part of your party because the excitement, the goose bumps, fear of public speaking and lots of other factors might keep you from saying how grateful you are and to whom.

For instance: “I’d like to thank you all for sharing with me this special day, and this beautiful party which wouldn’t have been possible without the help of my parents and my family. I thank all and each one of them for their effort, their support and love. I love you all and I hope you continue to enjoy the party.
“I’m not very good at giving speeches, but I really want to share with you how happy I feel to celebrate my fifteen surrounded by people that love me as much as I love them. I thank my family and friends because they made my party possible. Thank you once again.”
“Today is one of the most important and happy days of my life and now that I get a chance to celebrate it with my family and friends I want to thank you for your support and love. Thank you for coming and Let’s party!” Of course these are just suggestions, but you can say whatever you want as long as you stay relaxed and cool, and don’t let nervousness betray you.

WHAT SHOES DO I WEAR For the longest day of my life? a Jessic
a
g Artea
When
getting everything ready for your Quince, you prepare what you’re going to wear that day, your dress, and your outfit for baile de sorpresa and then you pick shoes that match your dress. You want something that matches your dress, but comfortable is the key word. It’s has been tradition to wear flats or sandals for church and through out the day. Now a days girls like to wear new Converse or Vans sneakers that match their dress as well. Then at the reception it is a custom for the father or father figure of the quinceañera to take off her “young girl” shoes, place the heels on her feet and then they dance. This is yet another symbol of a girl going into womanhood. Part of turning fifteen is being able to wear high heels, but maybe you don’t know what style to pick.
Here are 4 tips to picking the perfect shoes:
to wear new e k li ls ir g s y a d a “Now e popular th r o s® n a V r o ® se r e Conv dress as ir e th h tc a m t a th ® CHIC-CHUX well”.
•Pick a height you’re comfortable with.
Just because your friend can walk in four inch stilettos, doesn’t mean you have to start there. It would be a good idea to start with maybe 1-2 inches and once you’re comfortable walking in those, eventually you’ll feel confident wearing 4 inch heels too if you choose!
•Make sure they’re plat formed: The thinner the sole of the shoe or the thinner the heel, the more pain you should expect. Ask the sales associate at the store to show you their platform heels, it gives you an extra cushion and they’re easier to walk in.
•Practice walking in them for a day: You want to
make sure that you can actually walk in them before you dance the night away at your quince. It looks bad when a girl has a pair of cute heels, but can hardly walk in them. Put them on, wear them around the house or to run errands, break them in that way your feet don’t freak out when you wear them all night.
•Pick a neutral color: It’s always better to pick colors like
HOPEFULLY THESE TIPS will make it easier for you to decide which pair of shoes is best for you not just for your quinceañera but also for everyday use. Worst case scenario, you can always switch back to your flats or sneakers that night, but remember you can’t wear those forever. Imagine a lawyer or business woman wearing sneakers with a dress! Start small and work your way up. Wearing heels is very feminine and a part of womanhood.

silver or gold. Not only do they give good contrast to any dress, you can always wear them again for other events.

He announces your Tio Juan as Tio Jose and ignores the order of the Court. You are introduced to a song you’ve never heard before and your Vals sounds like something they play at the circus.
Worse yet,
your DJ doesn’t have the right music, knows nothing about the traditions of a quince celebration and is dressed like it’s a backyard party instead of dressing for the most important day of your young life. Party ruined. Thanks for coming….
place to search for your DJ. However, meeting them face to face and seeing exactly what they offer is essential to see if their style matches what you’re looking for. Here are some things to remember when choosing your DJ for your Quinceañera : Has he done a Quinceañera before and is he familiar with the traditions and music played at the event. Does he have a clear and appealing voice? He’ll be doing plenty of announcements throughout the night. Not only introductions, but keeping your guests informed as to the formalities of the evening. Will he meet with you and your parents and exchange ideas that will make the party much more enjoyable for everyone ?
There is no reason this should happen. With a little research It is very important that he
and by asking the right questions of your DJ, you can avoid this disaster and have the quinceañera you’ve always dreamed about. A large majority of you have never hired a DJ. It’s assumed that they are all the same. There is a huge difference between a professional experienced DJ / Host and that friend of the family who plays at all the house parties and family gatherings. While he may be capable of handling these parties, it takes a true professional to make your event successful and fun for everyone.
have a written detailed contract for his services. If he says “Don’t worry about it. I’ll show up.” Run! Run away!! If it’s a company that offers multiple DJ’s make sure you meet the DJ assigned to you and that there is a guarantee that he will remain your DJ. He should also have liability insurance.

and others to make sure the nights flows smoothly. Can he create an exciting dance party. Your family and friends came to dance. Can he supply the right mix to keep the dance floor pumping all night. The cost of great entertainment should not be the determining factor in your decision to hire a DJ. By setting your priorities ahead of time as to what is most important to you, you can have a fun and memorable event and still stay within your budget. It is very important that your DJ represent you and your family in the best way possible. He should ask you about sensitive issues involving your family and friends. He should ask about who your guests are so that they will be included into the celebration. Especially if they’re coming from out of town. The equipment your DJ brings should be professional and be presented in a clean manner that doesn’t interfere with the rooms décor. The music should be clean edited so that your Tias won’t be embarrassed.
Can your DJ make you feel special and make your dreams come true. Such a special moment in you life should be just that – special. It’s been said that a DJ can make or break a party. Don’t take a chance and hire the wrong entertainment. Shop for the one that best matches your personality and needs. It’s your day. Demand the best. You deserve it.

That’s money you can count on right away to reserve what usually takes longer to get such as the reception hall, photography, and your dress. THEN START SCOUTING FOR PADRINOS. If you ask your immediate family members first, they will be honored by your request; but be sure to show them your plan of action; tell them what you need most and start from the biggest and largest since some might need the collaborative effort of two or more padrinos. Remember not to spend money you don’t have just yet or are not sure you’ll get because like the saying goes “never bite more than you can chew!”

At Quinceañera Magazine Miss Cover Girl program we not only teach the technique of the model’s walk, but how to sit, rise, walk up and down stairs, enter a room and muchmuch more. This aspect of personal development will mean a great deal towards communicating confidence to the world. Being a part modeling and talent industry for close to 20 years I have attended my fair share of fashion shows, as a model and as a client. Recently, I was invited to attend a show of a very talented fashion designer. Sitting in a front row and watching models passing by I realized that the same models over and over again catch my attention and stood out throughout the whole show. They all had different looks but what I noticed about them was the fact that they one thing in common – they oozed with self-confidence. They had her shoulders back. They had her chins up. They had a very confident walk and it was so attractive and I thought “Isn’t that interesting”. You don’t have to be gorgeous. You don’t have
to have the most expensive clothes in the world. You don’t even have to have great hair. It is attractive to project self-confidence. That’s what models know, isn’t it? They know you have to project self-confidence on stage, on the runway, or in front of the camera. Getting ready for your Big Party means to get ready to be the center of attention. Can you handle it? Think of what virtues make up the popular, successful girl: her poise, her posture, her voice, her make-up, her clothes sense, the way she moves, and that wonderful quality of being natural, being herself as an individual; the ability to say and do the right thing at the right
time, to have total confidence in herself. All these qualities add up to the sum total of success! When we see this girl, the one whom everyone likes, the one who people are drawn to, the one who seems to do everything right, we are inclined to think that she’s just lucky, that she was just born with so much, like the true beauty. If you look again, carefully this time, you will find that she is not the perfection you thought her to be, but that she has learned to create that illusion. All these attributes are actually skills which anyone can learn. No one is born with them, it is a fact that all successful, professional models have learned these skills; and so can you.
