Leticia's Personal Style Report
Dear Leticia,
Thank you for welcoming me to your home and taking the time to do a consultation with me. I enjoyed getting to know you and your personal style. You are stuck between two very different styles since your work dress code is business, which is far from your personal style. Our goal is to make your work attire a little bit more exciting and ďŹ nd some great interchangeable pieces for your weekend attire. A lot of it is about ďŹ nding versatile pieces you can mix and match, and not about buying a ton of clothes. Please enjoy your style report!

YOUR PERSONAL STYLE ASSESSMENT
PERSONAL BRAND = Approachable, Laid Back, Serious (Work) BODY TYPE = Bigger on Bottom STYLE PERSONALITY = Urban Sophisticate, Bohemian, Traditional (Work)

BODY TYPE
More than 60% of the US population is bigger on bottom: where their hips are 4 inches or larger to their bust and waistline. A general rule for this body type, is that any clothing that makes the top half of the body look bigger will create balance to your lower half, and thereby creating a long and lean silhouette.
FIT GOALS Always highlight the smallest part of your waist Wear silhouettes that hug the your hip and leg line, and then hang straight to the ground For a tea length - have skirt hems hit just above mid-calf
STYLE DETAILS Boat or bardot necklines, and wide collars and lapels are great for creating the illusion of width on your torso Higher waisted pants with a straight or wide leg Minimize hip with darker, solid colors

SHOPPING FOR YOUR BODY TYPE
SHOPPING DO’S Look for jackets and tops that finish either above or below the widest point of your hips and bottom (or have it tailored) Wear volume, pattern, color on your top half Make shoulders broader with shoulder pads, puffed sleeves, cap sleeves, etc.
SHOPPING DONT’S Avoid hemlines (including single or double vents in jackets) that finishes at full points of your legs - aim for slightly lower. Avoid details, patterns, pockets on your thigh and hip area and belts on your hips.
SHOPPING RULES Rule of 3: can you wear it with at least 3 items in your closet? For 3 different kinds of occasions? Try. It. On. Hanger appeal is not a great judge of how it will look on your body. If you’re on the fence, take it to the fitting room!

STYLE PERSONALITY
All black everything is your motto, it is your uniform, your suit of armor to face the streets of New York. Here are some tips for your look: Spice up your look with a fur vest or leather jacket. Go from work to night by pairing that work shirt with a leather or suede mini. Break up the monochrome with subtle print/colors in your blouse, lip color, nails, a cocktail ring, or clutch. Add some luxe details to your bag by hanging a fur key ring on the handle.

STYLE PERSONALITY
To find your laid-back, California inspired look, indulge in prints and 70’s silhouettes. Here are some tips for your bohemian look:
Incorporate select accessories to get the look: a fringe bag and floppy hat will do the trick. Gladiator sandals or strappy high heels work great for day and night. A printed maxi dress works in and out of the streets of New York. Boot and flare leg jeans have come back in the last few years - they’ll give any look a 70’s vibe.

CLOSET TIPS!
A short list of some of best tips on how to turn your closet into a treasure trove of outfits: Flip all of your hangers to face the same direction. Every time you wear an item, put it back into your closet with the hanger hook facing the other direction so you know you've worn it. In 3 months you'll have a better of idea of what is simply decoration in your closet and in 6 months, you will know with certainty what to donate, consign, or trash. Pair one of your "go-to" piece with something new. You know that dress you're wearing every other / every week? Maybe it's time to give it a rest and your colleagues (or significant others) some excitement. Layer a button down under that dress, or put a cardigan or jacket on top and cinch it with a printed belt. Remember: if you buy a piece you can't wear with at least 3 items in your closet, you're not just paying for that skirt, you're paying for the top, jacket, shoes, and jewelry to go with that dress. Hang your jewelry next to your closet. We often have clients that tell us they need help accessorizing, yet we see jewelry boxes but no jewelry. If you don't see it, you won't wear it. Lastly, write down what your personal goals are. If you want to be "Classic, Sophisticated, and Chic," write that on a post it and put it next to your full length mirror. Does the reflection reflect how you want to be perceived?
