About Quintin Co. The Quintin Co. brand was founded in 2009, it was created by a group of Los Angeles natives from different ethnicities and backgrounds coming together to work as one organized unit. Our creative vision thrives from the heritage of Los Angeles culture, as well as a profound love of fashion, art, action sports and music. The Quintin brand has now grown to a world wide family with the same principles that originally founded the brand.

store [stawr, stohr] noun 1. an establishment where merchandise is sold, usually on a retail basis..

Corsa Corsa is one of the few retail locations throughout the US that are successfully bridging the gap between BMX and streetwear.

Please give us an introduction to yourself and your store, Corsa. My name is Phil Senior and I am 23 years old. My partner Lisa and I own Corsa, a streetwear/BMX shop in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia. We don't see a lot of these types of shops in the US, at all. What inspired you to open up a BMX-Streetwear shop? I always felt that a store like Corsa needed to exist to bridge the gap between BMX and steezy street wear. The fact that I would constantly seek out places like skateshops to get fresh was kind of absurd to me. That combined with Philly's lack of BMX friendly shops was enough to spark a Craigslist search for a storefront. Eventually I found a good spot in a great area and Corsa was born. What are your top 5 favorite brands, streetwear or BMX? Animal – Scotty Eaton hooked it up with the account before the store was even official, so they've been down way before day one. Durkl – They we're the first streetwear brand to hit us back to get down with the cause. HUF – HUF just oozes west coast swag and they were the first skate company to really take a risk and get their shit in a BMX shop. The Hundreds – Fuck it, The Hundreds is HUGE. Definitely siked to be working with these guys at such an early stage. Quintin – Quintin's hat and apparel game is on point and they've got some of the dopest riders on their team. In my opinion, this is the future of BMX. So how are you and your homies mobbin' on a typical Friday night out in Philly? Philly's got bars. El Camino is right down the block and they keep us laced up with the half price margarita pictcher's. The infamous Barbary is also right around the corner for the hipster in us all. Ronnie Fieg de·sign·er [dih-zahy-ner] noun Ronnie Fieg has been providing us with some of the most limited must have footwear of our time. 1.a person who devises or executes designs, especially one who creates forms, His collaborations with Converse, Asics and Sebago to just mention a few have become instant classics. structures, and patterns, as for works of art or machines.. First off where are you from and how old are you? R: Man, getting personal already huh? I’m 29 years old and I am from Queens, New York. What made you want to be involved within the fashion industry? R: It kind of grew organically. I started as a stock boy at David Z when I was 13, I worked my way up and built relationships with certain brands and found that this is my passion and what I wanted to pursue. Where do you draw inspiration from? R: People, places…. Everywhere really. Not even only with footwear and clothing, but for photo shoots, concepts for the store. Inspiration is all around us, it’s really how you view things and how you apply that inspiration that really matters. So you recently opened your own stores up, what was your thought process behind opening these shops and where do you want to go from here in terms of KITH retail stores? R: After I decided that I wanted to pursue this career, It was the next natural step in my career. I’ve always wanted my own shop, it just happened that things fell into place and it became a reality. Time will tell what happens with the KITH brand and stores. I mean obviously I’d like to expand and set up as many as possible, but for the time being I want to focus on perfecting these two shops and the E-Commerce. What has been your favorite personal project from the past few years? R:That’s a very tough question. I’d have to say the Salmon Toes. Mainly because I didn’t realize how many people really loved that shoe until I got the online petition. We had a great turnout for the release and opening of KITH, great event, and had all my close friends there, which made it special. By far my most enjoyable and rewarding release to date. Taking it to the future. Top 5 for 2012 – R: Off the top of my head, I have to say I am very curious to see the quality on the White/Cement Jordan IV’s, the Nonnative 997, Chicago Jordan X’s, the other two I’m not at liberty to say right now, but you’ll see soon enough. Before I end this interview, I want to say big thank you to you guys at Quintin for working with me and I am looking forward to all our future endeavors. 025 Fall/Winter 2012

DJ Last Japan South London producer / DJ Last Japan has made a phenomenal rise to prominence in 2011. He's now a fixture of Londonradio station 'NTS', and is set for five more releases in 2012. In short, Last Japan is one to watch, a burgeoning talent that's just getting started.

mu·si·cian [myoo-zish-uhn] noun 1.a person who makes music a profession, especially as a performer of music.

Firstly, how did you get started in music? What got you producing and DJing and how did you get signed? Playing trumpet at primary school, drums at secondary school, piano at college and logic pro 8 at university. From learning logic and making tunes it was just a natural step for me to go into DJing, as its a great way to judge if what you making is any good! Where do you see yourself fitting into the UK music scene? And how would you describe your 'sound'? It's constantly evolving, which I kinda like. At the moment it's a mix between Garage, Old School Dubstep and the Swamp81 [UK Label] scene/sound thats growing at the moment. Do you think it's in a healthy place right now, as a whole? I think its definitely getting healthier. There's always a cycle in music though, when peoples taste in music slowly shifts something always gets moved to the bottom of the pile. What do you think about the current garage/RnB revival prevalent in the UK bass scene? I think it's good, bringing some musicality that I think was missing a bit especially after the 4 note music that was being made around the fidget scene which yes, I was apart of, but you gotta start somewhere. Working with acapella's and vocalists has changed that so much! Any career highlights so far? Erm, its hard I've got a few little ones that I suppose build the bigger picture so.. Signing to an agency, doing my first big remix, working with all the vocalists ive met over the year. You must have some horrendous gig stories? What you sayin!? haha! I haven't had any that have been too bad, but we all have played the dead out sets, and I've forgotten to plug my charger in a few times! What have you got planned for 2012? http://twitter.com/LASTJAPAN https://www.facebook.com/lastjapan http://soundcloud.com/lastjapan http://www.lastjapan.tumblr.com

Lots of gigging. Five planned releases. Write an album, not do too many remixes. Get more free fresh clothing than this year. Earn enough p's to own a black car (thats deep) lol. Booty, legs or boobs? Booty. I always thought I was a boobs guy but it's def booty. Nice booty though. I'm not after some huge thing that's gonna swallow me whole. Just something of a size and handful, that's looks good in jeans! gotta look good in jeans!...ok that's enough! I could go on though. Email me at lastjapandubs@gmail.com to discuss. Rihanna or Beyonce? Beyonce! my girlfriend will love me for saying that! she dislikes Rihanna for some crazy reason!

mar·ti·ni [mahr-tee-nee] noun a cocktail made with gin or vodka and dry vermouth, usually served with a green olive or a twist of lemon peel.

Mike Ardelean Mike Ardelean is a BMX rider, graphic designer, team manager and European car fan. Currently he lives in Los Angeles and enjoys BMX riding, trail running, at-home amateur mixology. Organized and minimalistic to a fault, his worst fear is becoming a hoarder in his old age. He is 31 years old.

There’s a lot of confusion out there regarding just exactly what a martini consists of, but it’s actually very easy – a martini is gin and dry vermouth, served up with an olive or a lemon peel twist. Forget fruit, sugar, artificial flavors, or anything involving color. These are impurities. This drink is 110 years old so there have been plenty of chances for chain restaurants and blockbuster movies to screw it up. Despite the way it may look in its fancy glass, the martini is not for sissies. In fact the martini can be likened to an early Porsche 911 for the following reasons: it’s simple, it’s pretty, it’s potent, and it’s mainly a masculine undertaking but when a female can handle one, it’s pretty hot. Furthermore, it tastes good and it’s a civilized drink. If you’re not feeling too gentlemanly in your jeans and hoodie, this drink will fix that. Before I go into the recipe, a warning – don’t order this drink at a bar unless the bar has a reputation for good classic cocktails. If you can follow the recipe below, and you can, because it’s easy, then you will officially be better at making martinis than 80% of bars out there. This is because most bartenders don’t understand that vermouth is a wine, and because it’s a wine it needs to be refrigerated. If you’re at a bar and you see vermouth out on the shelf with the liquor, this vermouth is spoiled and rancid. If your bartender keeps the vermouth in the refrigerator with the rest of the wines, you’re safe. However, fifteen bucks a pop at the bar gets old really quick, and making stuff yourself is fun, so go to the store for a $19 bottle of Tanqueray and a $5 bottle of dry Italian vermouth. Put two martini glasses in the freezer. Fill a shaker or a tall glass with ice and pour in 8 ounces of gin and 2 ounces of vermouth. I’m assuming there’s a pretty girl next to you, so this is a double recipe. Stir for 12 seconds. You can shake it if you insist, but stirring gets it just as cold without the ice chips and wateriness. Stab one or two olives with a toothpick, drop them in the glasses you just took out of the freezer, pour one for yourself and one for the lady. Toast to fast cars and saved money, and drink plenty of water before bed. - Mike Ardelean

art [ahrt] noun 1.the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.

KZERGABE Gallery Kzer and G@B3 have been relentlessly documenting Los Angeles graffiti. Many times they have been able to capture new works of graffiti when the paint seemed still wet.

Please introduce yourself for us and what you do What's up guys, my name is Osker but known as Kzer (Kay-Zer) on the World Wide Webs. I document Los Angeles Graffiti.

You've garnered so much interest from people, it seems like you're the de facto source for what's going down in LA... so who's killin the game right now? The hundred dollar question I get asked all the time. I never answer it because I'll say it's my favorite artist, so I rather not be bias. Hahaha ...

How did you initial get into the graffiti game? But big ups to EDER & REKOIL for what they did in L.A in 2011. My surroundings & people I hung out with during middle school. I attempted to do graffiti myself but after noticing I didn't have the skills as some of the Graff Artist I looked up to at that time, I gave up. Picked up a point & shoot camera instead.

It was to make it one of the first site/blogs with original photos of the latest on the L.A Graffiti scene. To be different from them popular wack Forums & those garbage Magazine Graffiti Sites, that just hit the "Save to desktop" button & then upload the file to their own wack blog/sites. That's laziness to me. No originality at all!!
