About Time We Met is a natural, Australian-made skincare brand inspired by nature and science. A union that creates results without harm. At the heart of our range is sandalwood (Santalum album), one of the most luxurious essential oils in the world. Its skin healing and wellbeing properties have been used for centuries and are now proven and backed by modern science.

Ancient wisdom, modern science.

Sandalwood has a rich history as an active skincare ingredient, used for centuries in Ayurveda to reduce blemishes and brighten and soothe the skin. And rumour has it that beauty icon Cleopatra used sandalwood as part of her daily beauty regime, to maintain her royal radiance. Today, it’s a magical ingredient proven by science to improve skin and calm the mind.

We believe Mother Nature does it best. Eight of the nine products in our range are at least 99% natural (impressive, we know).

The remaining 1% is made up of a preservative system that ensures our products are safe from harmful bacteria. Whilst natural preservatives are available, we’re yet to find one as effective as phenoxyethanol, which is found naturally in green tea and chicory and is re-created in a lab for use in skincare.

Our Naturally Brilliant Oil contains 100% natural ingredients that prevent oxidation (which makes oils spoil) and increase shelf life.

SANDALWOOD (Santalum album)

Our hero ingredient is distilled from the heartwood of the Indian Sandalwood tree, ethically grown in Australia with unparalleled anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

ACETYL-HEXAPEPTIDE-8

(Argireline)

A synthetic peptide created to mimic the action of Botulism Toxin (also known as Botox) in restricting muscle movement and smoothing out wrinkles.

CLAY (Kaolin + Bentonite)

Kaolin and Bentonite clay are gentle all-natural ingredients that help bind and remove unwanted oils and lipids from the skin.

CRANBERRY EXTRACT

(Vaccinium Macrocarpon)

Incredibly high in polyphenols and Vitamin C and E, this extract provides firming and tightening properties for the skin. It also has antioxidant properties that help reduce the signs of ageing and loss of elasticity.

FRUIT ENZYMES

(Actinidin + Bromelain)

Naturally derived from pineapple and kiwi fruit, the enzyme actinidin from kiwi and the enzyme bromelain from pineapple help remove dead skin cells providing exfoliant benefits.

GRAPESEED OIL (Vitis Vinifera)

Contains polyunsaturated fatty acids and plant sterols. It is a source of natural vitamin E, with antioxidant properties that help produce healthy-looking skin.

HIBISCUS SEED OIL (Hibiscus Sabdariffa)

Cold pressed from the seeds of the red centred hibiscus, this naturally gentle oil is full of AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) and antioxidant properties. It is a perfect ingredient for improving skin’s texture and tone.

HYALURONIC ACID (Sodium Hyaluronate)

Occurs naturally in the body and is most commonly found in the skin, eyes, and connective tissue. Its main function is to retain water as a humectant ingredient.

NIACINAMIDE

(Vitamin B-3)

A form of vitamin B-3, it is suitable for dry and sensitive skin. As an essential nutrient, it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, blemishes, and uneven skin tone.

SEA BUCKTHORN

(Hippophae

Rhamnoides)

Helps protect the skin from adverse conditions. Its barrier repair and moisturising properties help soothe sensitive and irritated skin. Contains a range of antioxidants to help fight the signs of ageing.

SQUALANE (Olive Derivative)

Although naturally found in the body, its production slows as we age. This hero ingredient mimics skin’s natural oil and has antioxidant and detoxifying properties. It is naturally derived from olives and sugar cane.

TOMATO SEED OIL

(Solanum Lycopersicum)

Found in many fruits, this oil contains the natural compound, lycopene. This hero ingredient is nutrient rich with antioxidant properties that help to neutralise free radicals.

TREMELLA MUSHROOM (Tremella Fuciformis)

From the fungi family, Tremella is also known as Snow Mushroom. It is nutrient rich and contains antioxidant properties, making it one of our hero ingredients.

Playing our part.

We care about our impact on the environment. From the very beginning, our goal has been to create a range that is as sustainable and kind to planet earth as possible, without compromising the safety or efficacy of our products.

Our products are certified cruelty-free, vegan, and Australian-made. They are dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic and free from parabens, BAPAs, EDTA, PEGS and sulphates. Our ingredients are nearly all 100% natural and our sandalwood is sourced from sustainable plantations in Australia.

We’re proud to say our cardboard boxes are made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) responsibly sourced cardboard, our plastic bottles are made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR), our plastic tubes are made from 50% PCR, and our dropper bottles are made from glass. As members of the Australian Packaging Covenant (APCO) and the Australasian Recycling Label (ARL) program, our target is 100% recyclable or reusable packaging by 2025.
