At the beginning of the minor, we had to visit three cities and made an excursion guide about them. I really enjoyed doing this, arranging everything myself and being responsible for one of the places we visited was really fun. You develop a different perspective of your own city, by first analyzing the city itself and then visiting it. Because my knowledge on the city of Deventer was limited before the visit, I learned the most during that specific visit. The city hall I investigated was historically a nice mixture of elements. When we were visiting the cities I saw examples of the new buildings in a completely different style right next to the old buildings. This made me wonder how these two worlds could meet without friction. How do you appeal to

the same target group or two matching target groups. But also: “What do other residents think of the new buildings that fit with the history of their city?” I came up with the question: ´´What is the impact on the residents when the old and new city come together?´´ This would be something to keep in mind.
