THE FOURTH ANNUAL COACHING AND SPORTS MEDICINE SYMPOSIUM FOR TRIATHLON AND ENDURANCE ATHLETES Held in Conjunction with a Multisport Expo presented by Dr. Gerardo Goldberger Proceeds will benefit STOMP THE MONSTER supporting cancer research. Sponsorship to local triathlon clubs.

When: Saturday, February 23, 2013 Where: CentraState Fitness and Wellness Center, Freehold, NJ Time: 8am-6pm, (Expo opens at 7am. Registration from 7-8am) This interactive educational program includes world and nationally renowned speakers presenting topics related to coaching methodology and training techniques, as well as sports medicine, designed to enhance performance and injury prevention. Each athlete will have the opportunity to undergo a run and swim technique analysis, in addition to a bike fitting session. Coaches, therapists, and trainers will be available for one-to-one consultations during expo hours.

THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE USAT FOR A MAXIMUM OF 8 CEU COACHING CREDITS. Special thanks to Tom Manzi and the Training Bible organization, whose leadership has contributed to an outstanding educational program.

Saturday, March 9, 2013 • 11 a.m. Sea Bright Recreation Center Friends of the KDM Foundation, The KDM Foundation is eagerly preparing for our 12th Annual Fun Run in Sea Bright, NJ, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 9, 2013. As many of you are aware, Sea Bright continues to struggle in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, so this year’s race will benefit Sea Bright Recreation and the many activities they provide in their community. Your participation and generosity has enabled KDM to complete a wide array of projects throughout our area, and this year’s race will be a meaningful opportunity to help our neighbors in need. Please be mindful of a few important changes this year, which aim to improve the race experience for everyone. Similar to other large charitable races, this year pre-registration will be required for all participants who wish to receive a racing number and official running time. You may pre-register online by visiting www.kdmfoundation.com until February 20th and your racing number and electronic tracking chip will be mailed to you. For those who do not pre-register, you will still be able to participate on the day of the race and to receive this year’s KDM race shirt. The registration price is $35. We look forward to seeing you at the 2013 KDM Foundation Fun Run for a day filled with fun, friends and entertainment. Let’s make this year an event to remember, while doing our part to help the community our race calls home!

KDM FOUNDATION

The Keith McHeffey Foundation was created to keep the spirit of Keith McHeffey and countless other local victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 alive through a variety of charitable functions. To this end, the Foundation has created a permanent memorial to area victims by renovating Memorial Field at Piping Rock Park in Rumson, NJ, helping to complete the children's playground at Fair Haven Fields, and most recently donating a digital scoreboard to Sickles School in Fair Haven. The Foundation also awards annual scholarships in his name to students at Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School and has assisted many of the youth sports programs including Fair Haven, Rumson and Sea Bright.

Exercising, having fun with the kids and helping others to reach their goals and potential are all part of Bob Kelleher's legacy and the spirit in which this race has been founded. The Kids Tri for Bob Kelleher, the first kids triathlon to be held at Victory Park in Rumson, NJ. This event will be held in memory of Bob Kelleher, a Rumson resident who passed away unexpectedly in July 2009. This event is particularly appropriate to honor Bob, as it conveys some of the passions that were so much a part of his daily life. To name a few, Bob was an avid Triathlete, participating in numerous local races as well as completing three "IronMan" Competitions in Lake Placid, NY. Another important passion of Bob's was his enthusiasm for volunteering. He regularly coached his son and local children in several Rumson Recreation sports. When Bob passed away he was the Captain of the Rumson First Aid Squad, where he had been an active volunteer since 2003. The proceeds for this race will be donated to The Rumson First Aid Squad and Rumson Recreation Program.
